Kershaw Link in M390, $79.95.
Dividend in M390, $76.95.
Bareknuckle in 14C28N, $69.95.

Link and Dividend currently showing as pre-orders, but they come in spurts.

Steel Will has the Cutjack, Mini Cutjack, and Modus in D2. (as per gazz98.)
I've owned the Cutjack and the Modus...preferred the Modus... great knives for the money.
China is making great strides in the field.
Not all makes use decent steels, but some do...
Spyderco makes great knives...and has for many yrs...the Delica...the Endura...Excellent...

The suggestions one could make for an EDC in the $40-80 range are innumerable but, just to play the game .. .. ..

I'd suggest that the OP consider the Spyderco Efficient or Tenacious, which are both excellent EDC type knifes in the low end of that range.

I had good experience with WE knife, they do really good on outlook designing. I will try other Chinese knives like ruike or rike(not sure) or Kubey, ganzo.

Welcome to the forums Taigu.

I still feel that the Ontario Rat 1 or Rat 2 (depending on what size blade you want) in D2 steel is one the best value blades out there. Spend an extra few $ for the D2 vs Aus 8 steel.

Steel Will has the Cutjack, Mini Cutjack, and Modus in D2.

Kizer has a ton of offerings in your price range.

Cold Steel Code 4 is a great knife if you like metal handles (I prefer G10 or micarta myself).

You could always go Swiss Army Knife too (SAK).
SAK is standard, indispensable. I will check Cutjack tho, thank you.

FYI, you can edit your post, no need to multi post.

Another vote for the RAT series from Ontario knife. Grab a RAT 1 in D2 for about $40 and then get a RAT 2 in AUS 8. If you decide that a fixed blade is in order, RAT 3 or something close to it.

The rat series of knives are great. Just a great tool that functions well. So many great knives come to mind. I have a buck vantage avid in my pocket today. Great blade shape which cuts well. A link or dividend as stated would be a great choice. One that i really like is the kershaw cryo. Good luck with the hunt.

Do not support ganzo or rike. Stolen designs. Kubeys heat treatment isn't particularly great nor is ruike. For budget knives ruike has some good offerings. Though occasional qc issues plauge the line.

Try bestech, we knives, Reate and a few other Chinese knives for something a bit better.

As others have mentioned, the Rat 1 or 2 would be great choices. Personally, I would recommend the Delica 4.

Or, if you REALLY want to save some money, you could get the Ka-Bar Dozier Folding Hunter, which would do just about as good a job as anything else mentioned here at a fraction of the cost. One of the best values out there.

...Best in your price range is probably the Spyderco Delica in VG-10.
The FRN Delica would be very high in my choices along with a D2 Steelwill. The Mini Cutjack is a great knife. (I have the M390 version which exceeds your budget.) Depending on what you like, a slip joint would work as would a SAK. I carry a SAK everyday. Other knives come and go, but the SAK stays. I depend on SAKs more than any other knife outside the kitchen. I use Vic kitchen knives the most in the kitchen.

Many good recommendations. I have to agree that if your preference is D2 and CF, the Ontario RAT is very hard to beat. The Delica or Endura are also good. They are not my preference, but nearly everybody likes them. Another knife to consider is the Tangram Santa Fe. A lot of knife for the money and the steel keeps an edge a surprisingly long time.

Do you have a way to sharpen? If not, maybe spend less on a knife and consider a sharpener too. No matter what you get it will need to be sharpened.
