Any Ti-lock fans?

I hate this thread! It's really pushing me to the edge... I am standing on the precipice and would likely not hold out any longer... :(

I only have one Sebenza and I cant make myself use it because its perfect mammoth and Damascus. I'll let you know if I regret getting the Elemental instead of another Sebenza when I get my Ti-lock this week. I really want a Sebenza I can EDC, but I didnt want to miss out on the annual ti-lock since I think I might love it.

My Ti-Lock Elemental showed up today. HUGE initial disappointment that has been resolved.

I've noticed the CRK website shows the scales shiny. But other pictures show it kind of darker. In person when I got it, it looked like it was unfinished, "dirty" steel. A total letdown. I then noticed an oil slick boundary under the clip. From one of the CRK factory tour videos they said they clean all their knives with WD40 before they go out. I think thats what I saw. On this finish it looks horrible. I washed the scales, and BAM, its pretty.

That being said, opening the lock is maybe 10% less as refined for me versus a Sebenza. I actually prefer it as I'm left handed and use my knives ambidextrously. Closing is not as easy as a Sebenza but totally fine with my left hand. I don't have the finger strength in my right.

I'm actually going to use this knife. It wont be in my display case. It is neat but looks like it would be as good as new with a little polish if it gets messed up. It certainly doesnt look as fancy as an inlay Sebenza with Damascus.

Now I have one problem. I need to buy another Sebenza inlay Damascus to actually USE instead of my Mammoth. This is fantastic but doesnt fill my desires for a Seb to rotate. I want a lefty. I found one in ebony but prefer Box Elder. Anyone know anyone who has a Box Elder/Raindrop Lefty Small Seb in stock? Or think I should do ebony?

I love the box elder^ and raindrop. I really want to get an element ti as well.

Post some pictures for us?

Thanks! It looks awesome, how do you find the ergos compared to a small? I've actually only ever had Lg Sebenzas and an ummnumzann, I guess that comparason doesn't really help me. It looks like there's a fair bit more room on the Ti lock compared to a sm grip wise.

That raindrop mammoth looks awesome btw. Box elder mnandi looks great as well. All 4 knives look great! Haha

Honestly, if I was having a hard time deciding between the Ti-Lock and a Sebenza, I'd get the Sebenza. Its just an annual and I already have a Seb. The ergonomics are fine, but I prefer the Seb.

The small sebbie is fine for grip and more traditional , But the ti is more refined. Feels like a scalpel in the hand . Has two grip options. Kind of like a pt with an over 3 inch blade.

I was carrying a 25 before this. It certainly took some getting used to. But has grown to be a favorite.

No need to be sorry, more pics are always welcome!

Does anyone carry a ti clipless in a pouch? Does it fit the small or does it need a LG slip?

The Elemental is magnificent! I am so excited to see that there will be annual releases, with such drastically different designs. Those pics have my mouth watering! I hope the next one has some red & orange "fire theme.."

Lighting wasnt great, but here you go.

Great lineup, is it possible to get a couple of close ups of the milling on the ti-lock? I heard the presentation side is a bit sharper than the clip side. (Milling is more prevalent on one side).

Specifically the pattern in the little "honeycomb's".

Thanks!

I absolutely love the Ti-Lock. Such a rarity in that it couples a unique design with CRK's fit and finish. Sometimes in the knife world even the best designs are ruined by shoddy materials or manufacturing. Definitely not the case here.

The blade shape is perfect, and its blade-to-handle ratio is insane. A beautifully awesome EDC knife.

For what it's worth, my love for the knife grew tenfold after I installed a stonewashed Sebenza clip on it. The stock clip is the Ti-Lock's only downside.
