Anybody get BCCI 347 damascus yet?

There are several providers of Damascus and many patterns to choose from. I would love to know the history of what they have used, past to present.
 
this Vantage model is using a different vendor for the Damascus than who was used for. Not sure who.
 
The one I ordered came today. Wow, fantastic knife. I call the handle color to be more of a brown than red IMHO.

I am wondering if there is something that can be done to lighten up the scales?

Although, I have still not seen hide nor hare of mine, I notice on the photos of the ones received that the blade does not appear to have been etched to highlight the damascus pattern like the rendering photos showed.

The scales were oiled to get a more consistent finish. The more you handle the knife the lighter the color will get.
The other option is to us some acetone to suck out the oil.

OK folks I'm just going to dump a bunch of photos. Some here will go why did you dump a bunch of the same photos over and over? Well I was playing with the lighting so you can see how light affects the look of the DM blade.

got my two today.....nice surprise when I got home few minutes ago.......

except usual usps destroy package happened. used to it by now......they crushed the buck box a bit and got it wet somehow, but that will be the user so doesnt matter.....20190103_191612.jpg 20190103_193511.jpg

I see a tracking number on the box. That makes me wonder about mine. No tracking has shown up in the USPS system for mine.

yeah but it just showed up. didnt get any notification until today. dont worry its early still. mine came from goode va I think it was. that may be an east coast thing out west maybe coming from somewhere else, dont know.
 
I received mine today and I am in Oregon. I see all the ones posted has "BUCK" etched on the blade although some can hardly be seen.
Mine does not have "BUCK" etched on the blade. Great knife especially for the price they were sold for. What a great deal.

It's there James, you just have to get it in the right light. I can hardly see the Buck, or the USA, or the Boss, or the 347.
