Anyone always have a knife in their car/truck?

Daedric Panther. Again I need to proof read closer to what I write or what Spell Check thinks I should write. Delete "truck" insert "trunk"! John

I have an unused SOG SEAL 2000 from the 90's in my Jeep. I always figured I'd be able to hack my way out some sort of unrealized off road situation. I bought it when it was a "cheap, reliable knife". I could probably sell it and buy another cheap knife, and a more expensive knife.
Those were great knives then, and still are. Glad I still have one.

I have a super crappy Ontario SP2 in there. Doesn't have much of an edge but it's pointy enough to assist with anything that may arise that shouldn't

I keep an Estwing Camper's Axe, Ontario Knife Spec Plus SP-8, and a shovel for my vehicle pioneer kit. In the glove compartment box I keep a CRKT Eat’n Tool (in case I order food to go and don't get utensils) and a Morakniv Craftline Chisel.

I will take a rescue tool with me on a drive, because as long as I have that and a First Aid Kit there is zero chance of me being Johnny on the spot at an accident scene.

I always have at least one folding knife on my person and a multi tool and fixed blade in my pack which is always with me. So, I decided that more knives in the car would be redundant. But, what I was missing was a good breaching tool if I ever needed to get out of the car quickly in an emergency (rollover for example) or to get into a vehicle (someone else’s accident). Also, something that could double as an effective weapon. This is what I came up with. And if it ever gets stolen, it’s not the end of the world at $40.

I have a green vehicle, so I got a green backup knife.

I keep this RMJ Sparrow sheathed to my seatbelt for easy access inside and outside my truck. Surprisingly, no one has ever noticed it….it stays pretty well hidden down between the seat and door frame. Even after having to share the truck with my wife for a week she had no idea it was there.

Thinkin’ the thread could maybe use a few more pics, so I’ll toss in some old ones for kicks….

The seatbelt trick is GENIUS and I’m borrowing this idea!

I have a Kershaw Crown that I believe I've literally never used, and a Victorinox Forester that I've used dozens of times and usually because I need a corkscrew. Come to think of it, I have an Imacasa machete in the trunk too

Besides what's in my pocket, usually one working knife as GB1, Manix2LX or Rat1, and one for everything else - Combat Troudon, Bravo Elite, CQC7, waved ZT620 and such,
I always have one similar to the CS Black Talon, or the actual CSBT, a small Svord folder, a Machete in the trunk, an ax and few "tools" as the mentioned above Klein.
This is a normal setup in all three vehicles we have, minus the Machete and ax that missing from my wife's vehicle and a minivan we got.
Guns are also present in every vehicle, at least two mags, sometimes I carry my AK74 or my 590A1 pistol grip Mossy with few boxes green Olin buckshots

Another good "truck" knife option for $20. These are full tang and you can beat the crap out of them. I am a building enclosure consultant by profession and I have used these duct knives to perform destructive testing on commercial building roof and wall system materials for years and never broke one.
