Anyone always have a knife in their car/truck?

If I'm not mistaken, it must be bk3 you're talking about.
Yep, that's it. I'm so bad with names, especially when years go by after the research/purchase phase. I remember buying one when I first got my truck and I kinda overdid it a bit trying to stock it with everything I might possibly need ;) . Then I realized that it made for a good emergency type knife to keep in every car

Yes, of course, a couple of knives, a tool pouch, a hatchet, an entrenchig shovel, a tow strap and a tire plugging kit. I like to have at least one knife that is capable of popping open a frozen door, bearing in mind that it will be hard to reach the knife if the doors are frozen shut.

I keep this RMJ Sparrow sheathed to my seatbelt for easy access inside and outside my truck. Surprisingly, no one has ever noticed it….it stays pretty well hidden down between the seat and door frame. Even after having to share the truck with my wife for a week she had no idea it was there.

Thinkin’ the thread could maybe use a few more pics, so I’ll toss in some old ones for kicks….

Good old Leatherman Supertool here. Always in the truck. I use it more often than you would think.

Always have the CS SRK and a Leatherman Surge in my truck, along with some other random gear. Sometimes a Gransfors Bruks small forest axe depending on what I've got going on.

Wife keeps a Becker BK16 in the center console of hers.

Let me see... I drive a VW T4 California (camper) van... Victorinox Rescue + high visibility vest in the back of the passenger seath. Spyderco Rescue Wave + high visibility vest in the back of the drivers seath. Kabar Mule folder (beater knife) in a lateral pouch in the trunk. Leatherman Charge TTI + Victorinox Soldier + Mora + Homemade chopper in the cuttlery drawer (not counting propper cooking knives)

And there is plenty of tools in the trunk as wel, including a folding saw, razorblades, etc.

I guess sort of a chainsaw or sword... I am all set.

'...Then I keep a flashlight that can charge in my cigarette lighter. You got me thinking though, I should probably get a battery powered flashlight and spare batteries in there too. .... 😱.
Nope. No flashlights.

Get a headlamp with propper headgear, that runs on readily available 18650 lithium batteries (have a spare) and has a built in chargint port (so you don't have to mess arround with a separate charger and taking the battery out of the headlamp.

Last one I bought was a LED LENSER NEO10R. I ticks all the above boxes. I also have a Led Lenser H17.2R (but it requires propietary battery packs, which I have two extras, but it is not ideal).

Any emergency will probably require you to use both handes (be it mechanical or medical or whatever). Headlamps are the next best thing after sliced bread.

Unless you plan on shooting a gun with one hand while holding a flashlight in the other, doesn't get much tacticool than that... in which case you need the latest light cannon that Surefire has in it's catalog. Period.
