Anyone deal with Botach Tactical?

Botach Tactical has some stuff my kids need for his EMT studies. Any comments about them? Ever buy anything there? Thanks - DYD
 
Do a search for Botach and you will find countless threads warning of their dishonest business practices not just here on Bladeforums but all over the internet and going back for many years as well.
 
I actually had an order with them that went very smoothly, and have not seen anything negative about them previously. Just my experience.
 
I had a number of purchases go smoothly, but I flew too close to the sun and finally got burned. I haven't dealt with Botach in the two years since.

Buyer beware. It's a hit or miss proposition, and lots of folks have missed.

As Guyon and snipes1027 pointed out, sometimes they deliver, but is it really worth the risk?

The few dollars you save came out of the pocket of the customer before you who they robbed.

I once had a trade account with them. I would clear any deal directly with the owner, BK, and pick the goods up myself. Otherwise, there's a risk you will spend a lot of time dealing with ordering/shipping/charging issues.

I ordered from them few times and never had a problem. Guess there are some exceptions to the general rule :)
 
Discussions about dealers generally go in FEEDBACK.
Discussions about Botach belong in the Hall of Shame.

BT is just not worth the risk. "BK" is a disgrace to his name.
 
I ordered some Thorlo socks from them about two years ago. Didn't bother to tell me they only had one pair of the 12 I ordered in stock. Took forever to get a response from them and for them to admit they didn't have the items in stock, didn't know when they would get them, and to refund my credit card. I've never tried to deal with them again.
 
I've bought items from these guys in the past and had nothing but problems. They are notorius for advertising low pirces but their service is terrible. I would NOT buy anything from these idiots!:thumbdn:
 
I had the same experiences as Guyon: had a few good deals, then got burned. They sent me a defective item. I returned it. They claimed it never arrived (even though my Delivery Confirmation notice said otherwise). We wrangled. In the end, I was out about $70. Never again...
 
I've spent thousands with them over the years and had only one problem which they fixed immediately.
 
My impression of Botach - this is what happens when you have a bunch of guys in a warehouse (and noone in the front office) decide to start an online retail operation . I don't think they are purposefully negligent, just incredibly disorganized. If you order an easy or popular item that is in stock (confirm first), you are not likely to have any problems. If it is an obscure part you're after you should plan on doing some waiting and complaining before you get satisfaction. It took them 10 weeks to get me three items- two that wound up being drop shipped from the manufacturer. If you aren't in a hurry and can deal with the headaches, they do have some great prices.

All went well at first, but I finally started to receive partial shipments with no indication that the rest of the products were on order - even though I had paid in full. It took several calls to get in touch with the owner who shipped an upgraded product right away.

Haven't ordered from them again. It's just too iffy.

P.S. After reading some of the attached threads, I wouldn't touch that company with a 10 foot pole.

Same here, a 1-2 orders seemed to go well then I got a partial order and yet they still charged my card. Took me 2 weeks of emailing and phone messages to get a hold of them. Even after getting a hold of them, they still tried to keep my shipping charges for the stuff that wasn't shipped. To me this showed dishonesty as well as bad customer service and I will never order from them again. Buyer beware.....
