Anyone else just stopped buying knives?

Yes, because prices became absurd. $80 for a plain jane spyderco DF2? I only grab something every once in a while these days when the planets align and that weird one I've wanted for years shows up on the secondhand market for a reasonable asking price.
 
For the most part, I stopped in about 2016 I think. Have way more than enough for my needs. There have been a few exceptions - mainly the annual Bladeforums Traditional Forum Knife - I bought those in 2018, 2022, and will probably get the upcoming one for 2023.
