Anyone Else Stash Knives?

I recently started doing this. Am I the only one?

I have a Gerber folder clipped on my safety harness. I have another Gerber in my desk at work. There is a Byrd Slip-it on the console of my car. I have a multi-tool with various driver bits and a decent Tanto blade in my range bag. Am I the only one?

I always have one in my pocket. 😉

But yeah, there's always one within reach especially in the console, seems to be my most used knives. I keep a Bladeforums Viper, Buck 112, and an old Gerber multitool in there (the one that pinches my hand when using the pliers, hate the thing but it does come in handy).

I don't anymore cause I can't remember where I stashed them.
Also discovered that if you pretty much always have a knife on you
it becomes a bit redundant. Which I guess is why I started forgetting where
I stashed them. lol
I consider toolboxes, tackleboxes, vehicle glove compartments to be just "storing". Whereas taping a knife to the underside of a table,
or keeping a knife in a nearby draw or under your bed, or in any normally unexpected location would be "stashing".
I might be wrong, just an opinion.

I’m probably the opposite of stash. My main rule is one knife out at a time. I won’t grab another knife without putting the last one back. I do it to make sure I don’t lose any.

If I did stash I would definitely forget about them.

I do however keep a few beaters in my truck just in case. Don’t know if I’d consider that stashing though.

I used to stash them everywhere.
But not anymore, I always have a knife on me gym, work & sleeping.
I’m good to go, I do keep a slip joint by my utility room. Sometimes I have one or two extras I place in there, deciding what I want to carry for the day.

Partly it started because I have half a dozen that aren’t doing anything but sitting in a drawer. My carry for now is a Cold Steel Voyager Large Clip Point. I leave an Endura Wharnecliffe on the magnetic rack in the kitchen so I have it for board and plate cutting when all the others are taken. I’d like to have some fixed blades for the car, computer bag, etc, where they can be carried and not be in the way or where their weight is a big detriment. Something like a Cold Steel SRK or Master Hunter. For the car I think maybe even a Becker or Junglas. I have a fondness for CS machetes for yard work.

I keep a first-aid pack with water and snacks and road flares in both our cars. The bag in my car has a BK3 and BK16. The one in the wife’s car has a BK9 and BK16. Those are the only things I’ve stashed. I always have some flavor of Lionsteel CK01 barlow in my pocket.

Yes.

For me it started as a much younger man living in cheap apartments in sketchy areas (all I could afford). I kept knives and other improvised weapons hidden all around the apartment.

Although I live in a very secure place now, and I have trouble conceiving of any way a bad guy could get into my apartment, old ways die hard, and I still stash fixed-blades and other weapons in every room (though in some cases they're out in the open). I don't carry a knife around in my apartment. Of course when I know I'm having guests I have to gather them all up and put them away. I don't want people to think I'm a serial killer. But I don't have a lot of guests.

My garage/shop is a different story. When I'm in my garage (with the door open for the light), I'm vulnerable to anyone who wants to walk in on me. Among several tools that I could use as weapons (hammer, big wrenches, etc), I have a Cold Steel Peacekeeper 1 dagger attached to the side of my workbench (the sheath is attached) where I could grab it in an instant when sitting at the bench (pic below).
