Anyone Else Stash Knives?

I keep a knife and a light everywhere I keep a pistol. I also keep a Sebenza and a Malkoff on my work desk incase I somehow leave my folder or light at home.
If you have a pistol there, why do you need a knife? Would the plan be to pocket the knife and have the pistol and light in your hands, with the knife as a last-ditch solution in case the bad guy gets your pistol?

Why do you assume they are all to be used at the same time or same purpose? You keep your hammer, screw driver and tape measure in different rooms? When your power goes out are you always in the room with your light? You only cut things in the same room?

The areas I have a pistol have secure storage that insures the tool I need will be there when I need it.

When each of my grandfathers passed away, my cousins and I got to play the most epic games of hide and go seek EVER cleaning out houses, garages, workshops, vehicles, tackle boxes, RV's, boats, etc. trying to find all the guns, knives, tools, bows, fishing rods, etc. Then we piled them all in the kitchen and the family started playing something akin to a White Elephant gift exchange crossed with an Iranian Arms Deal. Almost every item was associated with an awesome and/or funny memory of grandpa as we divided things up and recalled all the fishing trips and such with those two men.

Am I a stasher? Oh, heck yeah! Someday decades down the road, Lord willing, my four kids and grandkids are going to get to play the same game. I pray that I am able to give them similar memories and life lessons learned as what my grandfather's gave me.

As an aside - in addition to knives and such, I seem to be a stasher of Energizer brand headlamps. I have a Streamlight Macrostream that goes just about everywhere I go, but I also seem to have a headlamp in every vehicle, each level of the house, in my backpack, by the door out to the woodshed, garage, etc. Just like knives, you can never have enough light.

I stashed some knives in my wife's car at both driver and passenger side door in the pocket for her peace of mind, because you know, people are nuts and we live in and around a higher crime area

I do the same thing. I put a small flashlight, small fixed blade, with every pistol. I do it for grab and go purposes, whatever the occasion may be. Those are the three things that are always on me when I walk outside of my house.

Absolutely! Truck, bugout bag, hiking packs, range bag. Probably other places I've forgotten, too. 🤔
This is me as well.

I have a Spyderco with a serrated blade in the car where it can easily be accessed from the driver's seat in case a seatbelt needs to be cut. I also have a multitool in the glove box and a fixed blade by the spare tire.

Other than that I prefer to load bags as I grab them.

One in each car, one in each desk, one in each briefcase, one on me…. Yup

Always ready to cut myself a piece of cake :)

As I enter my my house, there's a hair-splittling skinner near the umbrella stand that I can grab if someone hiding behind the door tries to throttle me from behind. Barring that, I do a forward roll and instantly grab a 12-inch throwing knife hidden behind the hallway mirror that I can throw at someone with a gun. Do a somersault or cartwheel to the left and I grab a second thrower under the coffee table. Stand on the coffee table, do a high back flip, and I draw the wakizashi leaning behind the book shelf.

That about covers it.

LOL that was great. You’ve got the gymnastics down! Suggestion: can you wheel kick into a partial split uncovering a fixed blade beneath the entrance carpet?

Not sure if I am stashing knives so much as laying them around or placing them in drawers or in my closet shelf. Most of my pics are done from the lazy boy chair besides the TV, that is why you see a blanket or my socks, they are in arms reach to play with, while we watch Hallmark channel or Flea market showsIMG_0514.jpegIMG_0510.jpegIMG_0522.jpegIMG_0523.jpeg. Maybe it is my way to remind myself I still have some testosterone left in middle age. ;)

Reminds me of Vin Diesel in the Pacifier movie when he is trying to get into the laboratory singing the bed time song. The Andy Panda dance.

I hate carrying things in my pockets so I stash a lot of things, knives being one of them.

I have a day pack (small backpack) that I carry with me and I keep a knife in it.
I have a larger back to use when needed, I keep a fixed blade in it.
I keep one on my desk in my office.
I keep one next to my bed
I have one in both of my vehicles
I could probably keep going.

Swiss Army Cadet in car console and a Companion in the car cubby
Swiss Army Cadet in my Jacket / coat pocket
A traditional folder in my watch pocket
A Vic Companion in my pants pocket.
Before I retired there was always a folder of one type or another in my desk drawer also.
