Anyone ever had a high $$$ knife stolen or confiscated?

The folder on the bottom has seen it's time on the stone ay? I had one in the late 70's, early 80's for a few years and lost it. Very nice, a bit heavy but nice!

May be a lot of one bullet problems in the world but losing stuff isn't one of them.IMHO.

I've had two or three "confiscated" by TSA. Seems like I would learn my lesson after the first one?

Someone stole a ZT 0300 and a ZT 0500 from my tent while I was camping last summer. :thumbdn:

I used to have a cold steel trail master carbonV that was temporarily confiscated by the cops after my mom found it under the edge of my mattress. I did get it back but it was stolen a few years later when I let my guard down around the wrong people. I remember calling CS and them actually asking if they could buy it back. I didn't realize then that they were no longer being made or I would have kept a better eye on it.
Just recently an ex-friend stole my brand spanking new opinel that I purchased just for a tossable edc. I hadn't had it but a day. Good riddance to both of them.
And for the record, thieves deserve a warning shot, one that is of course pointed straight at their chest.

Never had a high $$ knife taken, but to speak to the shoot the thief crowd, I live in Texas and they believe in blowing your ass away if you mess with somebody else's property.

We had a guy in the metro area that saw some guys breaking into his neighbors house. He calls 911 and says I'm gonna go stop them, and if I remember correctly, you can hear him shucking a pump shotgun on the 911 call. He runs out and kills both bad guys. He was cleared by a grand jury. Look up the Joe Horn shootings in Texas and you will see a bunch of stuff.

America, f yeah! Seriously though: makes burglars think twice before breaking in since they know they could get blown away.

I had a Cold Steel Recon Scout, Carbon V blade and hand modded by me, stolen from my luggage somewhere between Cairo and Tel-Aviv while traveling in the Middle East. I suppose like anything else, you pays your money and you takes your chances.

As to killing thieves, it's much too quick. I'd rather see them have to work off the value of stolen items. That's much more satisfying then murdering them, dying on the electric chair, and still being out $$.

So I've been carrying some nice customs for a few years, and happy to report no problems. knock on wood. thanks for sharing your stories and I hope you find those blades somehow someday

Yeah..had my STEVE WHEELER custom master hunter and my own design by him(for ringing deer) stolen a cupla months back...he delivered my knife by helicopter into my hunting block cos he was late finishing it...back in 1995....i sure do miss that knife....knife thieves must hang!!!!....FES

I went and got a CCW permit a couple of years ago and have never had a problem since. When/if I ever get pulled over, I inform the officer I am carrying, hand over the PX4 and whatever knife I have on me, and they always appear thankful that I was upfront and surrendered the weapons without him having to ask. They usually just check the registration on the firearm and just give them back. My brother is a SWAT officer in another state, and I have trained with many LEO's in self defense. As long as I have been smart with what I am doing, it has never been a problem.

Not to be a dick but I don't think that you could put a bullet in someones head over $80 and even if it was $8,000 who cares. You are actually willing to put a price on a human life and that is sick.

I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but I believe those feelings are based on principle vs being based on monetary value. Regardless of the item being worth $0.01 or $1,000,000, the feelings in the OP would be the same.

I won't lie, sometimes I feel similar. The moment someone else encroaches on my safety, well-being, free will or property, they forfeit their right to walk away unharmed.

I lost an Emerson Karambit and a frickin E2d Defender Surefire! Frickin USPS..then again might be the neighbor of the guy I sent it to.
Also, I might add that when I changed my address I forgot to do the same on my Paypal Account and when I bought a few items from Ebay they were being send to my old apartment. So, naturally I went looking for them and when I spoke to the new tenant she said that she didnt have them. So I called the mail carrier who also went there(because she knew that she had dropped off a couple pacakages for me) and lo and behold the females son said "yeah, mom has some mail in the cabinets", and there were my frickin' boxes. Stupid bitch didnt even open them, she was probably waiting a week or so just in case LEO came a calling, that STUPID ASS BITCH!

Jip.

Was attacked and mugged When my car broke down after recieving my handmade Burger EXK from Burger knives 3 hours earlier and going to a meeting. with my edc for the day that was a large EXK as well as my small regular sebenza.

It sucks and I pray no one has to go through the same thing.

I haven't lost anything yet and hope I don't... I try and buy all my folders from inside Canada so they don't get stolen at the border.
