Anyone like this knife?

Wish i could read the name on that sheath....this is either a weirdly motivated joke, or its some ultra famous maker's early attempt and we are being asked to put our foot in our mouth.

neither, nor... but you can put your two feet into your mouth, though. btw, the maker has an ABS stamp, as far as i know.

Wow, sorry. I didn't even comment on the knife, just the oddity of the thread and it somehow upset you. If I put my feet in my mouth, consider them removed and my apologies, and myself removed from this thread as well.

Assuming that it is an early piece from someone who is now quite famous, i will say this. It looks a HELL of a lot better than my early stuff.:D

Too much negativity going on. Decided not to be a part,
I like knives, and the forum.

don't tell me that i am the only one who knows who the maker is (besides peter)... no, it is not an early piece (as far as i know), no, the maker is not super famous, i think he is a JS in the ABS who found his niche. and i honestly hope he is not a member here!

peter, what is this about?

No secret as far as I am aware ..... its by Peter Bromley and is currently for sale at Blade Gallery.

The reason I figured it was a secret is that the folks that knew who the maker was weren't saying.

Anyway, off to check other knives by this maker.

Well, I checked out other knives that Blade Gallery has sold by this maker. He does some excellent work.

Is there a bit of a flaw with the solder job on whatever you call that piece that is on the blade side of the guard.

Why don't you just tell us what point you are trying to make?

You don't want negative comments but yet I sense a sarcastic tone to this post, but I will play along.

I like the blade profile.

So as I expected from the beginning post, this was just another game of "humiliate the maker". :thumbdn:

Peter, you seem to have an un-natural fixation for belittling makers.

Kevin,

I have never mentioned the makers name.

If Foster chooses to do so, that is his choice, not mine.

I have not said anything negative about the knife or maker.

I made a point of discouraging any possible negative comments at the start.

Any percieved slights are a figment of your imagination.

I thought it was a test to see how well people would follow the no negative comments rule. Now I think this was a lame thread... :thumbdn: :D

Yes, and I guess I imagined these too. Pretty sad Peter.
Maybe I need some time off here too.

Lets cut to the chase. The truth of the matter is that, the work of a majority of custom knife makers, is simply not worth the time and effort to critique, or to collect.

That may be Peter but I heard more than once that the man's business suffered.

But whatever Peter. I have said my peace.

When there's no more makers visiting this forum, I for one won't be surprised.
