I bought a Citizen Ecozilla back in late December from a guy in Hardinsburg, KY, but I have never received this watch, he refuses to refund my $110.45, and will not answer my emails. Maybe someone can go pay him a visit for me and ask him what's up? His name is John Rader.

I live in SE Ky but I have never heard of the place. Call the local PD and see if they can help. Do you need me to get their numberfor ya?,,,VWB.

It's not THAT Ecozilla that I have. I've received NOTHING from the guy in Kentucky, eventho' I paid him $110.45 for a watch that he had listed at eBay back in December. I paid him via a Postal Money Order, which he received and cashed.

The Ecozilla watch that I DO have is one I traded a different guy a couple other watches I had, for it...About a month ago, and about a month after I realized that I wasn't going to receive the one I paid $110.45 for.

The last email I received from this guy in Kentucky was about 10-11 days ago, where he said that he had no choice but to return my money (I offered to get the Postal Inspector further involved). In this email he requested my address for him to send my refund to. I haven't seen that money, and haven't heard back from him since.

ecozilla...Hi John, how's it going?‏

John Rader,

Today is March 1st, 2008. I have NOT received the Citizen Ecozilla watch that I bought from you back in December of 2007. The facts as I know them are that I sent you a $110.45 US Postal Money Order on December 26th, 2007, and you cashed it. I don't have the watch (or anything) that I paid you for, and I have no proof that it was ever sent to me.

I have asked you for my money back many times over at-least the past month, with no reply. It's hard to believe that this nighmare has been dragged out for OVER 2 months now, as I sent the $110.45 US Postal money Order to you on the 26th of December!.

I can't understand you ignoring my emails, requesting my money back, but don't you think that it might be time to "man-up" and return my money to me? I won't go way and forget this, as the $110.45 of my money means alot to me (the money was part of a Christmas gift from my mother). I'm sorry if you think that I have received the Ecozilla watch (that you SAY that you sent to me...Where's the proof that you DID send it?...)...I HAVE NOT RECEVED THE WATCH (OR ANYTHING ELSE) FROM YOU...EVER. I have proof that I sent the Money Order to you (serial # 11368340864), that you received the Money Order (Delivery Confirmation #0307 0020 0003 9974 9447 of the Priority Mail Envelope (this cost me another $4.60) that I sent the Money Order to you in), and I have proof that YOU cashed this Money Order (from the investigation of The Postal Inspector for this case...Case # 7969709, the Postal Inspector is Adam Henning, out of the Seattle, WA office). Because the Money Order was US Postal, and because it was sent through the US Mail System, you not providing the item to me that I paid you for is theft & fraud. I am trying to be patient over this, but ALOT of time has gone by, where you have my money, and I have nothing from your sale to me.

This is my address to send my money back to me at:

Dann Fassnacht
708 North L Street Apt. 2

Here is the last email I received from this guy, along with my reply. Maybe a couple of you guys could email him and ask him why he will not answer my emails and/or refund my money back to me.

As an update (in-case anyone cares), as of 03/18/08, I still have not received the watch, I still haven't received my money back, and I still haven't heard back from this John Rader guy.

This sucks..

This brings up a dliemna I had a few months ago selling some art work on EBAY===>
If you DIDN'T buy the shipping insurance (if offered) do you think they guy should refund you your money??
What if he showed you the receipt from the Post Office that he shipped it?

Lady bought art work but chose NOT to buy the insurance for $2.00
I sent the item
She claims didn't receive the item
She demanded her money back
I started thinking like your seller Glockman===>"How do I know you didn't REALLY receive it??"
I ended up refunding her the money even though i feel I wasn't responsible for LOST shipping and she DID NOT buy the insurance
I didn't want to mess up my 100% positive feedback rating is why I didn't really press the issue
I now put a disclaimer===>Not liable for lost or damaged goods if insurance not purchased !

Hope your watch situation gets resolved
I got burned on a Nextel phone online
It was on Nextels "stolen" list and they wouldn't hook it up/activate it
Dude refused to refund me my money :thumbdn:....

I had a good friend in the Marines who was from near Canada KY. The guy was nuts. :) I think it's in Pike County.

I can't stand a thief either. I know how you feel...it eats away at you. I hope you catch the bastard.

When I bought the watch from John Rader, insurance wasn't offered, but I fully expected to receive the package. Also, I DID ask that he ship via USPS Priority Mail, WITH "Delivery Confirmation", but he did not do that. I honestly have no idea if he shipped the watch or not, but I'm 100% sure that I have not received the watch (or anything, for that matter) that I paid him for. I paid via a US Postal Money Order, sent to him via USPS Priority Mail, and I KNOW that he received the Money Order, and cashed it.

He has (had) my money, and I don't have the watch.

My last comment was sort of a visceral reaction; I've been in you're position (in one form or another) more times than I like to remember and it sucks big time. But the fact of the matter is, you should probably start getting used to the fact that you're not going to get your money back. Certainly keep trying...doing whatever you can, at least for a while, but also realize that that money (that could have bought a nice knife perhaps) is gone. Catching up with this guy will probably do you no good either. If you do what I would love to do to every thieving bastard, you might have even more troubles. It sucks, Good luck to you.

did a search on the internet using this guys (jmrader@bellsouth.net) email because he doesn't give buyers a very accurate description of items he is selling. i got the citizen watch i bought from him but it had more problems than he said. when asked about it he basically called me stupid and said i should read the auction description. this was his description:

"Depth sensor is not working.Other than that everything else works good, also new battery Can be fixed by citizen or authorized watch repair.Otherwise this is a great watch very large.46mm wide without crown and 14mm thick.Condition is about 7.5 out of 10." jmrader@bellsouth.net

pictures were blurry and he said he didn't have others. i figured it was a good price so i bought it. he has been a complete jerk when asked about it. hope you get your money back.

Dumb question I know, but did you ask ebay for his contact information, they will give you his address and phone number that he registered with, you might have more success if you TALK to the jerk, tell him you know some guys that know how to deal with thieves and they are in his town.

Don't threaton him, it will only hiurt you. Let the Post office Postal inspectors do their job and finish their inspection. If you want to invest a few more dollers and tweak this guy some file a suit in Small Claims court in your home state. He will either have to show up costing him money, or automatically loose bolstering your ability to collect from him along with expences.

I don't understand this attitude. If you are the seller, YOU are responsiable for the package getting where it belongs. If it is valuable YOU insure it. You also ship it with tracking info so you can have a record of it. This is all part of YOUR shipping cost you add on to the item. If you are going to be a half assed seller and lazy about the details, get the hell off E-BAY, it is people like you that give the place a bad name.

Trent even if there was no insurance on the package if you have proof of mailing, have them trace it. You will still be able to collect what ever their max coverage (200.00 maby) before insurance is required.

As an update (3/31/08)...STILL no watch, STILL no money back, and STILL no email from this John Rader guy. I'm out the watch I bought, and the $110.45 that I paid him for it.

I have given up on ever getting the watch I bought, of ever getting the $110.45 that I sent to him (back in December of '07), or ever hearing from him again.:(.:(.

He got my money, and I got the shaft.:(.

I agree with Micky that this is poor procedure.

The buyer is responsible for getting payment to you.
You are responsible for getting product to him.

Unless the two of you agree beforehand that proof of shipment is good enough, as in the case of an overseas, unreliable postal system, the buyer cannot be held reponsible for problems with the carrier.

Rader owes Dann the watch or money back.
I hope the Postal Inspectors nail the guy.
