well, the knife design is actually interesting to me. though, i think it should be longer, and with higher grinds.
i don't think i'd BUY one, but i might trade for one under the right conditions...
i would certain TRY one if offered, and give it a fair shake. too many people develop these interesting preconceptions or even full blown opinions on stuff they've never seen or tried, but i dunno, somehow they're experts lol
what do i know? except yeah, i'd give it a test run

I try not to get involved in all the BS regarding C_T, but the one thing that makes me go hmmmm is the naming of knives after an ex....this alone seems to me to be somewhat....idunno, like "watchu call dat knife by a gurlz name, anyway?" Even the Beckers that have nicknames are NOT named after females who have spurned us. I will admit I followed him for a bit, but soon came to realize that YT is filled with his ilk, and I need not waste any more time "learning" from his videos.

Why is this in BK&T? IMO OP should have his BH # revoked. Who gives a s#$% about schrade knives here? Anybody? Not I. I wouldn't use a schrade knife if my life depended on it. No thanks. Nothing about this schrade or any other schrade I'd want. I'd bet even though they use 1095 it wouldn't have as good a heat treat as Kabar's have. I've seen that with other knives. Same steels used but not the same result in quality. Also hate everything else about the design of this knife. Mallninja/zombie huntery/ bad grind/hate the handle shape/ect. Agree with Dex and Chameleonbear. Don't like prepperedmind or schrade. This really shouldn't have been posted here.

I'm a youtuber (cough Foxwalk Primitive cough cough). My buddy, and I put a tremendous amount of thought, and work into our videos. We strive for great, informative content with professional quality production. It pains me when guys with such low quality get so much support. I mean, I wish everyone the best, but I really appreciate it when hard work gets its due. That said, I hope I have as many subscribers as him someday.
About the knife... I don't think it was cool to ask permission to take a well respected knife designer's blade "to the next level" (as if anyone could). If you have a design that's inspired by another, because you truly love it, but would like changes in your favor is fine. But, keep in mind, "inspired by" is completely different from using the exact design. It says that you have no talent, or better yet, not enough experience and blade knowledge to actually design something that works. It's not an easy thing to do, but with experience it can be done. From looking at it, I think he's taken the "knife" out of the bk9, and replaced it as a chopping tool. I think it's perfect for anyone who wants a cheap, chopping tool that is not a hatchet (although it would probably work better).

I feel like he should have commissioned a custom knife maker to make it. Not try to get someone to mass produce it.

Hahahahaha! Yes definitely. But really, the booth impression will be all that's necessary I think. I don't have too much enthusiasm for this knife at all, honestly.

As far as talking about a Schrade knife here. People talk about plenty of other knives and makers in here, and as long as they remember that this is Ethans house, its just fine. Lots of guys and gals here like multiple makers styles and types of knives.
I also happen to like and trust Brian (Mistwalker) and he trusts Shrade enough to have them making a few of his designs, so I will give them a chance.
As far as CTanner. It is what it is. Imo hes made some bad decisions about how to treat Kabar, Ethan, and his channel. Having said that, hes been very successful, so what do I know ..lol Im not gonna bash him up, but IM not gonna watch his vids either.
As far as "His taking the BK-9 up a notch" well I think hes missed the point of the 9, but thats ok. The new knife isnt an improvement on the 9, its his knife thats slightly inspired by Ethans knife. I dont particularly like the look of it, but I would try one. I remember the first time I ever watched one of his videos, I didn't know who he was or any background, but he just Seemed like an arrogant A-hole. But I gave him the benefit of the doubt and subscribed.
I watched his videos for about a year, and while I do believe he has a couple good ones, there's just to much crap mixed in to make it worth while.
An then wen all of the afore mentioned events transpired, I walked away.
Plus, as others have stated, he has a very punchable face

Nah. I'll leave it with what I said. I will stop by the booth tomorrow and try out this "Becker Killer" of his. Hell I might even buy it to put it up against something in the Becker line up in its own weight class. Granted with it weighing in at almost two pounds I believe that puts it into the RBK territory... MUAHAHAHAHAHA
