What I USE to like about Schrade was they were a great American company that made great classic blades in America particularly, for me, the Old Timer line of which I have several vintage folders and fixed blades. But that was then, this is now and basically the name was bought and used for a foreign product. Some designs remain but they're not the same.
This thing is just big and ugly with a ridiculous handle that's about as big as the blade itself. I do really like the schf42 and won't knock anyone for owning one, but I'll stick with the BK16 in that regard...
If you're reviewing a prototype that you designed yourself, why wouldn't you already have the specs? ie weight and thickness... That really adds to scepticisms and validity of a review not to mention a "designer"...
