I miss Rob....he did the heat treat on my first few knives back in 1997. Great all around human being to talk to.

Gone 20 years now. Still can't quite get over it.

Small Model 4 Kit built for me in 2000. Stellite 6K and carbon fiber, no liners. He mortised a titanium lock bar into the side of the carbon fiber for weight savings—knife weighs just 2.3 oz.

Note the convex serrations, a signature touch of his. Will not snag on meat or other fibrous materials, unlike most serrations, yet it cuts like a chainsaw. Such a craftsman.

David Boye casts his Stellite 6-B blades and calls them Boye Dendritic Cobalt (BDC). He also casts 440-C blades and calls them Boye Dendritic Steel (BDS).
The pictured knives are all BDC.

Brian Harrison made me a custom Stellite 6-K blade for a Buck 110. It was a little thick behind the edge, so it took a while to sharpen.
