Please read the following post.

As you can see, this guy needs a bit of help financially. I am going to send him a little cash to try to help him keep his Busse knife in Afghanistan.

I just think it is wrong that this man has to sell his knife while he is over there fighting for us.

If some of you guys will join me, we can make this happen.

Thanks

I am in for $50, but someone with PayPal needs to send the funds, and I will need to send to that person a $50 check. I don't have PayPal.

I can be the go between if you like since my paypal account has been getting a workout with the patch thing lately. I have all of Steven's info as well.

With this one thread, I have a whole new outlook on the "Busse" guys...nice job. Strike that great job...

Progunner: I am about to send to you a PM about being my PayPal proxy...

It's seeing things happen like this that just make me prouder to be a part of this community! You guys ROCK!! $35 sent PP.

Personnally, I do not buy it. If the guys want to sell his knife and you want to buy, then by all means buy. But, just giving a guy you do not know at all money, for what purposes or why he needs it, while the thoughts and intentions are good, is not a good idea IMHO. Soldiers make good money in Afghanistan. Tax Free, combat pay, bonuses, etc. I hardly see $325 making a significant difference. Before I would just hand out money, find out why he needs it so desperately. Lost the money in a poker game? R and R in Bangkok? or wife needs money for diapers and rent? What is his rank? Etc... Maybe he just does not like the knife and wants to sell it. Many soldiers have several knifes and some are kept in their footlockers and "travel" around with them and then later some are sold. I have seen a lot of "Special" knives with logos and unit knives sold by other soldiers. My point is, if the knife is really special to him, for only $325 he would find a way to keep it.

It sounds like this BATAC was spawned from this thread from five months ago: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=491238

If you dig further, you will find that he was trying to decide between the HR and SJTAC, and obviously went with the former, which ended up getting lost or stolen.

His rank appears to be Corporal.

This certainly seems like a good cause to me. Heck, Busse Combat stepped up the plate, and quite silently I might add.

No offense, or, well some, Think about what your saying here and re write it. Seriously. Right now I am more than a little pi$$ed off so I wont respond.
