hah, my nalgene stainless arrived today ... fits into my tatonka ss mug as hand in glove ...

Another thing, someone had wondered why I replace my trusty old sigg ...
well, it is dented in one place, and dented so hard, some of the lining is ripped ... no way of really cleaning it there ... + I don't want to swallow any lining that might flake from it ...

Boy, Santa is being awful good to you this year :)

You got issues girl.
I have some old nextel that doesn’t text only receives texts but doesn’t tell me who the text was sent from :|
A friend of mine is rather enthralled with the new droid and htc's; he tried showing me a video of all the spec's of those new phone palm computers ...I just shook my head, I feel like an old person who has just decided to give up on keeping up.

Go Mrs. S!

I’m not going to be so cliché as to make it a resolution, but I’ve got to get in better shape. My problem is food. I LOVE food. My addiction to food is far worse than Black Rifle Disease or RAT-itis.

Crowdog apparently has it figured out. Maybe you should put together a RAT Pack fitness plan Crow. Please no speedos or jantanna. :D

Losing weight doesn’t require you to give up good food, there is no such thing as "bad food", Just think of it all in the same context as a mathematicians would and turn it all into numbers; it doesn’t matter where you get the numbers from just as long as you get the correct amount for your body in the right moments of need.
I know some that stay quite lean off of fastfood rich diets.

Adam it really wasn't THAT hard. I was really hard on myself when I started. When I say hard I really mean it. Plain chicken breasts, plain rice, no sauce no cheating at all! I've since eased up on myself but still try to run a tight ship. Without Crowdog I wouldn't be where I am. I may have done the work but he provided all the information and motivated me when I didn't want to move.

Nobody makes a body change because of me, they make the choice to change themselves and I just enable; in turn doing the something some older bigger dogs in the gym did for me.
I was considering creating a contest to inspire some, to catch those bodies up to the gear they are packing.
NOTHING IS IRONED OUT IN A FINAL FORM.
I figured something along the lines of a 4month lifestyle body change challenge- before photos in a bathing suit, (pm'ing the photo is an option) "but i think it is important for other to see you progress through the transformation."
Then over a four month period the participants create diets exercise programs and introduce activities into their life that could aid their bodies in being prepared for the riggers of some adventure task; hiking camping rock climbing diving military service L.E service or just being the big brother for others that may not be as able to make their mind body and gear as complete.
At the end of deemed period it will be judged as to who made the most positive changes in their form as to make it a more efficient functioning machine, so as to be ready for whatever goal you set your sights on in the future.
That is the main reason I stay in the shape I do; I want control over the possibilities within my future; which to some degree is a fallacy but it gives me comfort. I like to believe that with in a year when I want to climb Kilimanjaro or if I am forced into a position of protecting myself or another I have the best edge at prevailing within the situation. I never want my desires in life limited by my body.

Agreed. I’m 6’-1” 195 lbs. This summer I got down to 182 and was hoping to get to 175 or so. Didn’t make it. It wasn’t like I had to not eat, I still ate good, I just tried not to eat anything bigger than my head. Once I was off the wagon it was tough to get motivated again. Time to get back to it.

I like the idea of a contest crowdog. I would definitely consider joining it. I am 6'1" and weight in at 256 lbs. I had a test done some years back and found that I have a lean mass of 185 lbs. I would like to get down to about 195, anything less might not be good for me, I am not sure. My bone structure is very thick and I have always been heavier than I look. I have trouble with lumbar arthritis and the extra weight I am carrying is really effecting it and my joints. I think a challenge like this would be a great motivator for myself and others, let me know if you decide to go ahead with it.
Thanks!

Most certianly; from the sounds of it you have a great frame to build upon; lol I would love to be an inch taller and wiegh 50 pounds more. It wouldnt be optimal come climbing season, draggin 50 more pounds up a wall would not be fun. But in sparing 50 more pounds of mass would be nice :D

I do have quite a bit of muscle that I would hate to loose. I have suffered from that in the past by dieting. It is difficult to intake enough lean protein to do that though, it seems. One can only eat so much tuna :barf:
