if the terrorist was singing mary had a little lamb before he attempted to blow up. then nobody would be able to sing on planes. they should worry more about the enforcement of the law on the ground. does it matter if a terrorist had gotten on the plane already with a suicide bomb. what if another terrorist smuggles a bomb on a plane and blows in up right after takeoff? then you would not be able to do anything on planes

We are flying in a few weeks and if they stripped everyone naked to make sure they weren't carrying anything that would be fine with me. My kids need parents.

that happened to us once. we bought our tickets the day before we left. when we get to the airport they pull us aside, frisk us, explosive check us, and hand search our carry on. the irony is that they let people in turbans go right past us, i think even they were laughing to themselves, but the TSA people had to check us. on departure and arrival.

I just flew back from Florida yesterday without any problems. Granted we had a 7AM flight, but security was a breeze and none of us got stopped for extra searches. I think they're being much tougher on international flights than domestic flights.

I think they don’t want to be called out for racial profiling LOL :D

I would of said something.... I dont mind being on the list to be checked coming & going ...as long as it seemed fair to all

Maxpedition just called me to fix my order!!!!I posted earlier about how I made a mistake placing my order over the weekend but it hadnt gone out yet so they were able to charge me the diff. over the phone and send out my Jumpo s type in foliage blue today!!!!!Real good and quick customer service in case anyone was wondering. My order confirm for my Izula says it wont show till Jan 6 so it looks like I'll be sittting on a new bag but no knife for a few more days.DN

i could see that buying tickets the day before looks a but odd. so Mrs. shotty. what is the deal with the RP badges?

As of last night she only had emails from a fraction of the RP members.

Back on the subject of flying, when we went through the airport in Cozumel, they made everyone push “the button”. If it flashed red they searched you, if it was green, you were on your way. I had an IWB holster for my carry gun in my bag (no gun!) and didn’t realize it. Do you think the Federales would have believed me when I said I just brought a holster? Check your bag, then check it 4 more times. :D

i guess the deal was an ETA. i wasn't aware that info from every member was needed before they went out. sorry.

Agreed. They're looking at the problem backwards. There's nothing magical about an hour before landing. The airlines have had enough financial troubles in the last decade that you'd think they'd realize that coming up with annoying and ineffective policies will decrease their customer bases.

that is exactly why i dont like flying. like this summer instead of flying to MN we drove there from socal. it was a great experience.

I don't have them yet. I'm just collecting the information. I knew that would take a lot of time. Gathering and orgainzing the information for almost 500 people isn't done in 1 day.

Completely off the subject of flying... but..... :)

Interesting article in Newsweek today about preppers (survivalist of old).

Just thought some of you might enjoy reading it, and checking out the links. Nothing wrong with being prepared for 2010 :)

i guess your right. maybe you could scare them into giving their address. like "if i dont get your info in the next _____ than you wont get one." that could work.

It was weird reading the comments for that article. Many of the posters criticized preparedness. Didn't Katrina teach them anything?

I like the people who believe city services & the goverment will take carry of them.... b/c they're usually the first to die off and we as people need alittle thinning out... Natural selection is to slow of a process.... IMO
