I just had to pop in and say ask, "Does anyone else find themselves rooting for Favre to win the Superbowl?"

I'm an Eagles fan but I'm also a Favre fan. He's just an excellent model of sportsmanship and a superb competitor. I also think he tends to fall in the "Rocky" category, much like the MMA legend, Randy Couture. I just can't find it in myself to root against him.

It certainly wouldn't hurt my feelings any if the Vikings won. I'm a lifelong Patriots fan (yes I liked them before they started winning) but, like you, I'm also a Favre fan. It's gonna be tough for me next week, because I also wouldn't mind seeing the Saints win one. They've sucked for far too long and the city of New Orleans could use some good news.

Lifelong Packer fan here. I liked Favre when he was a Packer but I can't warm up to him after he went to the Vikings. The whole retirement thing was a little much. I don't think he has too many friends in Wisconsin.

(I'm not a RAT owner yet but will be soon!)

I can understand that. Sorta like the way I felt when Johnny Damon left my Red Sox to play for the hated Yankees. Very upsetting to me. I cursed Damon soundly unto the ninth generation when it happened.

Having spent a lot of time in Green Bay and other locals in WI, I can totally understand. People just don't like Farve the way they did earlier.

Went to the MECC in Maastricht this Sunday. Congress/exhibition-center which was, as in every January, host to Hollands premier vintage car-show. I hesitated as a vintage Lancia-owner, because it was Alfa-Romeo all the way this year! You would understand if you knew that both brands were like MB and BMW back then. Especially Lancia have lost most of their glory, unfortunately. Just a few pics of cars you won't ever see on the road in the States, unless you live near Jay Leno (not sure he has many Alfas though...).

Some seriously-sized pics for maximum effect. :D

Dozens of other brands were featured, starting off with this '20's Bentley in the course of open-checkbook restoration:

Pre-GM Vauxhall - not sure about the exact vintage but it must be pre-1925:

One of the best-looking cars ever made, one of only 19 to leave the factory; the Alfa Tipo 33 Stradale (1967):

Castagna-bodied Alfa tourer, didn't write down the specifics but I'd say it's from approx. 1936:

And a - from the top of my head - 8C2300, early thirties':

Next April, it's the Techno Classica in Essen, Germany, again. 5 (five) times the exhibition area... And the Maastricht show was already pretty decent! Can't wait.
