Well, Jeff is the media ... (sort of, anyway) so I guess he can.

well it is his company so your right he can do what he wants. but taking pics at the show is against the rules. they might be able to sneak a Junglas to a room and take pics there.

My fiance cracks up every time she sees Chumlee. I love that show, about the nest thing going on the history channel now.

yeah he is a dimwit. and he always messes up what the item is. did you see the one where he attempted to make wine? he did a bad job to say the least.

I actually can't stand that pawn stars show. The bald guy seems to be such a d!ck and gives such lowball offers. If he brings in an appraiser/historian that says it has value of $400-600, he'll go for 200.

Maybe that's just how pawn shops work and people need to learn to bargain harder but I think he seems like an idiot.

dude it is a pawn shop. the people selling are taking a dive on purpose because they need the money, they could probably get what they are asking but that takes time. i like the part where he lowballs people. that is one of my favorite parts!

guess you've never been to the pawn shop before or know how money is to be made off you....
you are there seeking to pawn or sale,I am looking to make money.... Item worth a $100 I offer you $40 you accept or leave,I have room to make my money back plus a profit... not a D#ck just business

I like pawn shops b/c if you're a cash buyer(which 98% of the time I am ) you have the power to negotiate the marked price.... I do it all the time....

+1 on this -- I worked in a pawn shop for a few years in college.
When buying we generally gave 1/4 of what something was "worth" and sold it for 1/2 - 3/4. on a pawn (loan) we would give about 10% of "worth".
Folks would argue and we'd point them at a similar item on the shelf.
Gold & silver were sold at pretty close to "spot" - because every December we'd ship most of it to the melters and they'd give us spot minus 15%.

We never got mad if someone didn't like our offer. We frequently recommended the competition. We would haggle some, but in reality there wasn't as big a margin as you might think.

I wouldn't touch that wine with a 10ft pole. That was nasty watching his feet squish the grapes.

yeah it looked like bottom shelf stuff. 1) he messed up the recipe. 2) he put wine in it!:barf: it looked sort of clear at the end. i wonder how they cleaned that wine maker out. must have been a pain.
