Well, self-restraint has never been my strong point :) . I couldn't help myself, just ordered a Lite Machete a few minutes ago. As pretty as the Junglas is, I figure there is more chance of me actually using the Lite Machete.

It's pretty nice weather out today, if a bit windy. I think I'm going to go out and strike a fire with a firesteel.

hey we're going to get together again. We're looking at the last weekend in April. Kayaks, tents, food, BEER at stubblefield.

Hey, that sounds like fun!

Are you going to arrange for the Jerry Springer show to be there too? "Gimme back my cell phone!" :D

I think I could probably make it.

If she's not there maybe the Mr and I can fight over my cell phone. lol. Or we'll have Drew and Dave fight over a cell phone. THAT would be amusing.

and on that note, i say tis time for another round of off topic bantor. humorous though.

fixed it for ya!
and yes, my ESEE pack kit showed up in the mail today, my M43 kukri showed up Thursday, as did my TAK1.
Then it decided to rain all day today, so i've been messing around the house, doing laundry, etc... so SWMBO has no excuse to make me stay in tomorrow - if the weather is more cooperative.

Oh, yeah - Tony, the PSK I got from you off the trade blanket fits perfect in the front pocket of my kit. Thanks again, bro!

 UR Welcome !!!!!!!!

Just downloaded Miles Davis - "My Kind of Blue"

Barely started playing it and I'm already in love. Now why I see so many people claim this to be one of the best jazz records of all time.

If only I had a good cigar and drink to go with this, I'd be in pure heaven right now.

thanks guys I'll definitely check them out. I'm usually more of a fan of the upbeat Jazz/Swing/Big Band i.e. Buddy Rich, Sinatra, Glenn Miller, Brian Setzer. Miles Davis is much more mellow, but beautiful.

well Mrs S i like jazz, but i also like a lot of other genres of music, to each their own i suppose, but jazz appreciation also comes from performing it for awhile i suppose. i admit some aspects of it are an acquired taste but i long ago acquired it. :D

I listen to music WAY out of my generation. My favorites are Rush, Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, Dire Straits, Van Morrison, Supertramp and going all the way back to Glenn Miller, Sinatra, and Buddy Rich.
I can't stand any of the noise that's been produced in the past 10 years, and none of them are more than one hit wonders.

I grew up listening to doo-wop and rock n' roll with my dad with his vinyl collection and full-house stereo system. Just a few weeks ago I bought Zeppelin I and IV on Vinyl from craigslist.
