I offered him a refund 2 weeks ago, no communication of any form, then he opens up this paypal dispute - but admits he still has the knife.
 
I think to some extent I may be over simplifying what you’re dealing with, if that is the case, sorry. I’m just looking at it from a somewhat Buddhist perspective.
 
Well, here's a new one.
I haven't heard word one from ARAK, not here, not PM, not email - since he tried to depth charge my sale thread and I offered him a refund if he would just ship me back the knife.
I've got an email from PayPal - he's disputing the sale through them and so they've pulled the purchase and shipping price out of my account.
WTF?!? -- I don't see anything to dispute. He said he's not happy, I told him I'd give him back his $$ if he would just send me back the knife. I don't have the knife back and it's been 2 weeks since he took delivery.

you better send paypal a email explaining every detail to a T & you want knife back ASAP . Right now he has you over a Barrel you may never see your money or Knife . better stir the GB&U thread again IMO

I REALLY hate being called a liar, and that's what he's doing.

I know karma will catch up and bite him where it counts at some point, I'm not wishing ill on him, but if he'd just sent the thing back after his first complaint, he would have had his $$ 2 weeks ago and I could do my best to forget his existence.

I already went to PP and disputed the refund without escalating - I've never done this before -- is there something else I need to do on that end?

I also agree though with TTonys advice; to not be invested emotional is not meaning you should be defenseless and open to further insult and injury.

Paypal pulls the funds as soon as there is a dispute on any transaction, BUT they do not actually refund it until you've had time to address it with them. Since he HAS your item, and is refusing to return it, CALL PAYPAL VOICE. He has to prove he has returned the item, give them a tracking number or something like it to prove that he IS RETURNING the item. Otherwise you are entitled to full payment. If they find in your favor, they WILL return the funds to you.

But don't screw around, CALL THEM. Go to paypal, log in, scroll tot he bottom of the page and click on contact us, scroll down and click on speak to us, get a web pin number and call them. More time that goes by, the more likely you will not see a cent. (Been there, done that).
 
Well if it makes you feel any better erik I just got bent over and pounded like a sheep in Wyoming on the test in my capstone college course this morning. My cornhole is going to hurt for days.
 
oh then you might have missed it, i think you did, someone said that another person in chat was a rapist, JOKINGLY, either that or i am construing my facts 0_o :eek:
