You obviously speared your neighbor's pet dog, which then ran off and died. Good luck with that conversation.

thanks edctac, for you spydie recommendations, cuz before 10am i bought a millie and a gayle bradley. ok knife buying is over with unless i unload the 0551

I think today the BK9's micarta meets the dremel. I may be in the market for new grips here in a couple hours LOL

You will love the GB, and the milie too.

Nice. How do you like it compared to the Izula? Is it slicey?

I think I like it but it looks a little thick to be a good slicer?

Yeah, it's pretty thick plus its got a saber grind. A saber grind on this shallow, thick blade is not going to be ultra slicey. It is, however, going to work great as a hideout or last-ditch survival edge.

It's so small, it can't hold a candle to the Izula which is such a perfect knife that its still a little hard to believe.

Another thing... the handle design makes me a little nervous. My hand, which is admittedly HUGE compared to this knife, feels like it wants to slide right up onto the edge. Someone was comparing this to the Remora and saying the Candiru's design is shaped much more to the curve of the finger, which is true, but the Remora feels like it'll keep you off the blade better. When I get a sec I'm going to slide some thin inner tube on and see if that helps, then if it doesn't I think I'm going to have to spring for the micarta grips. I wanted to keep this ultra-thin because it's going in my boot, but it won't do me a damn bit of good if I can't keep my hand on the handle.

But it is oh so pritty, oh yes my precious. And the sheath is quite nice.

@ BRL, I'm looking at the Kershaw skinner for the same application. Its solid, stainless, comes with G10 and its cheap. Plus Kershaw is right up there with Becker, imho for quality and bang for the buck.
I need a 3 inch or smaller blade for edc because I go into DC on occasion. I looked at the Candiru but between the lack of Micarta on the market yet, and the ill omen of a name, I decided I want something else ..lol.

Putting together a loadout and ran across this. I clean forgot about having this little knife. It's a Marttiini Black Lumberjack, a great little bushcrafter and I'm tossing it in.

It's like finding an old friend.

Since I always need a good multitool..and I cant find my gerber Suspension (grrrrrr gotta be around in some hunting bag) I think Im getting a Leatherman Skeletool. The only thing I use on multi-tools is the pliers, knife and screwdrivers...so this looks perfect, light weight too.

I learned to use a straw early in life, so the teeth aren't needed. Souls are optional equipment.:D
