aquiring a Hinderer knife

I just picked up a new Gen3 non-flipper for $575. Felt like a lot of $$ but not as bad as some I've seen sell lately.
 
I just completed a trade for a 3 1/2" non flipper. Dont Worry, I will post pics when it arrives later this week......Due to job issues, funds were non existant. So I began looking for a trade. I traded two great knives, but I feel I got a great knife in return. I am so used to my sebenzas, umnumzaan, SMF, that I opted for a non flipper as it fits more with what I am used too. Plus, the flipper vs non-flipper thread also helped. I still would like to get a flipper someday, especially if I grow to love this one. I am already drewling awaiting its arrival. Its going to be a LONG Week.

A small regular vines sebenza ( not carried for over a year since it came back from the spa ) & bocote mnandi ( I have 3 mnandi left...lol ) for a 3 1/2" XM-18 non flipper with an extra scale. I traded 2 knives I dont use, even though I liked them alot, for something that I have been wanting for awhile now, just did not have the funds, so I have been looking to trade what I do have.
 
I got one for $500 and sold it for $500 on the sales area of this forum.Keep your eyes on the exchange areas of this and other forums and you'll find one.
 
I picked mine off of e-bay but it took quite a while to find one that was not well over $650. Once it arrives I'll take more pictures.

Congrats tomsch! :thumbup: Good score and from fleabay too where almost everything costs more - whoa :eek: Is that a stonewash blade? It looks blasted.

Funny thing is, eBay was founded on the principle of "getting great deals." Having sold there more than a few times, I had to quit because they take a big chunk of the sale price as a commission. Your seller probably had to price it higher just to offset the d*** seller's fees.
 
Both the blade and titanium are blasted. Should arrive on Friday and I'll take better pictures.
 
Everywhere I look there's XM-18's for sale.

Prices don't seem to be normalizing much, but they're out there for those who want em.
 
They are around for sure if you look hard and are quick on the Exchange forum. Even though I paid a premium for mine I don't feel bad because the knife is just so perfect for what I use it for.
