AR-15 builders and Owners, little help please

I've built several ARs and feel that what needs to go into a build is pretty subjective. I've put together some rifles based on both billet and standard lowers. From a functional standpoint I personally don't find a difference although I do prefer the looks of billet parts. If you want to spend money, spend it on the barrel, BCG and trigger; everything else is gravy.

I'd recommend a upper sans rail from Bravo Company, I prefer a mid length upper and appropriate rail or hand guard. Think about whether you want to mount a flashlight , vertical grip ect to help make a decision on a hand guard. If you get the BCM upper you can slap a $30 plastic hand guard on it and decide on what you need in a functional rifle later. The standard hand guard also saves weight and makes a maneuverable and comfy I gun. The Magpul MOE is a good compromise in hand guard setup. I would personally recommend buying a fully assembled AR upper from experience.

I like a solid lower and , personally, really like Mega lowers with integral trigger guard. Get a lower parts kit from G&R tactical or Daniels Defense. The stock triggers in these kits are generally pretty darn old and not overly gritty like a stock Stag or Bushmaster kit. Upgrade to a nicer trigger later if ou want. A trigger on a user will break in and feel better over time. Again, I like Magpul or ergo grips and ambidextrous safety selectors. Ambi- mag releases are useless. I like VLTOR buffer tubes, a H buffer or standard buffer should work just fine. Stake our castle nut. Chose your flavor of buttstocks, The CTR is killer. I like the UBR but it's pretty heavy. Ummmm , shoot me a PMif you have any questions.
