Are all non US knives garbage?

Buyer prefrence of country of origin. My prefrence is USA built product, there is more than enough built here to a high standard that I'll never get bored.

Garbage knives are garbage regardless of where they are made. There's crap like Ystart from China and Bear & Son from the US, but there's also awesome stuff like Reate from China and Hoback from the US.

There's good and bad knives from almost everywhere. Judge by the brand and maker, not nationality or country of origin, doing so is not only inaccurate, but also just lazy.

All i can say is that there are very good and equally horrible products
available from knife manufacturers around the world.
Sure there are premier brands with all the bells and whistles
reflecting pricision production quality and craftsmanship ,
but with a price tag which many can ill afford.
Knife users from less progressive nations end up making the best of
what a north american knifenut would cringe in horror.
In short "good" is nothing more than a perspective
in relation to one's standard of living.
No matter the bad edge holding qualities or
Heaven forbid - the dreaded off centering issues.
If faults are all that one sees in anything,
then the less contented one becomes with his lot.
Materialism sure takes the fun out of what should be a simple joy.
Warts and all.

Absolutely not, but careful observation and doing your research are important. And avoid the impulse purchase. Like a former President said,Trust but verify.

It's funny how people always ask this about non USA branded anything. They just assume if it's made in the US it's of the highest standard and best quality which simply isnt true. US knives can be absolute garbage and so can knives from other countries. Just find a knife that fits your needs, length, thickness, blade steel, handle material and lockup you want and do some research on it. Brand literally doesnt matter. Even certain brands have decent knives and crappy ones so a blanket statement like X brand sucks doesnt even work. They may have a $15 crap knife that will develop blade play after 1 good use and uses cheap steel and then they may also make a higher end $100+ rock solid knife that is fantastic.

If I had to guess, Japan, Germany, Sweden, and the sleeper hit Paraguay makes good knives.

Nope, not all are garbage. I suggest doing a little research and experimenting when you have disposable income like I did. Find knives that catch your eye and do an online review, you will probably be surprised with the amount of info available on YouTube and other sources.

I’d like to know more about these sleeper Paraguay knives

I may have misspoke. I read on another forum that that's actually the original inspiration for the paramilitary line. I'm now beginning to think that it has nothing to do with the country of Paraguay

You guys shouldn’t even respond to these types of questions. Whether he kicked the hornets nest intentionally or by accident the hornets are unleashed. So let him have it. Also, his real question is, what is going to be his favorite edc. Tell me guys, how many of you figured that out on the first try. The answer is buy buy buy and figure it out as you go along.

ouch

Thank you for a simple answer A lot of harsh responses I got. That don't bother me

Well you asked a question. You didn't say "All non US are garbage." and while it was worded provocatively, no reason to be rude.
