Are Frost Knives on the Knife show (cutlery corner) really that bad?

Don't touch those things or you'll get FROSTED! Suggestion: Benchmade, Spyderco, Al-Mar, and Kershaw are my favorites for knives, spend the extra money for quality products with people that stand behind 'em.

If my life depended on having just one good knife over 25 lousy ones, I know which way I'd choose...

I agree the so-called "tactical" knives are crap. And the katanas and swords are for morons and goofy teenagers.
But I have ordered some of the pocket knives out of sheer curiosity (hey, if there is anything about knives on TV, I will watch). The "Frost Family" and the "Steel Warrior" brands seem pretty solid. Good fit and finish, rockwell tested, and they arrive razor sharp. For something to carry on campouts, around the propety, etc - they are OK. I also like the price. My father-in-law is a farmer who tends to loose or break his knives and he was tired of paying $30 for a Case just to drop it in the field and never see it again. He loves these pocket knives and wants me to buy them and give them to him for Christmas, etc.
Plus, They also sell Hen and Rooster and every now and then, I will buy one of those for my collection.

Before you kick me off the forum as a numbnut - my favorite EDC is a Buck Adrenaline or a Kershaw Onion and I collect Bucks.
