The Wally world in Durham NC. had 5 or so tins still at full price.
Same with my local Wally World; 8 left now, Commemorative Tin 110 (full price being $23.44)...
BTW: Besides the sheath being made in China, the tin can also has a teeny weenie sticker saying "Tin made in China"...
Just as an aside, I've been bidding on 110's on eBay (mostly for parts); not good ones, or collectibles, but the ones I think nobody would want...later version, with scratches, ground down by Kennel-ration can opener/knife sharpener; initials stamped in them with 1/2" metal stamps; broken tips & re-ground to 2" point; etc... I'm holding my max bids to ~$17 [and figure $6 S&H], reasoning that any more and I can buy a new Wal-Mart tin-can 110...
...and I keep getting outbid...
People are paying outrageous prices for "junkers"...
Now I'm reasoning that some people are buying them to blatantly take advantage of Buck's warranty policy; buy a broken blade 110 and get it replaced free + a polishing...
But figuring ~$24 for a junker, then postage to Buck (to rip them off on the warranty), and when you're done it's still a used 110...at more than a brand new Wal-Mart tin-can 110...
What are these people thinking??? :grumpy:
