Been lurking on this sub-forum for a few months now. Found it when I was looking for a new knife. Had narrowed my choices down to an ESEE 6 or BK7...after spending a couple of days here reading the threads and seeing what passion and loyalty these knives inspire in people, I decided on the 7.
And the rest, as they say, is history...
I've got the Becker Bug now, and there's no turning back.
My collection so far:
I am seeing a 16 in my near future![]()
Hey Beckerheads, my name is Swampdog and I've been lurking here for a number of years. I purchased my first BK&T (Brute) many years ago when they were made in Effingham, Illinois, U.S.A. I carried it a lot working in the woods during my 33 yr. career in forestry. I wore out the original leather sheath that came with it and was able to order a kydex sheath from Camillus when they made the Brute.
I have been lurking here so much that I got a Ka-Bar BK-2 to play around with, put the micarta handles on it, stripped the blade, and got a nice sheath made by Sagewood Gear for it.
I really enjoy reading all of the shared information on how members of this sub-forum make customized improvements to an already great product. It's really neat to hear from Mr. Ethan Becker chime in on his creations.
Thank you all for sharing your knowledge!
Pic's Please! Especially of that Blackjack brute....
I've been posting, but I'm still real new. Hello everyone!
I have a 4, 14, and 15. Currently the 4 is my favorite because it's the only one I've really gotten to use.
I can help fix that:
Step 1 - drink more
Step 2 - drink rum or tequila
Step 3 - desire limes for your rum or tequila
Step 4 - need cutting instrument for your limes
Step 5 - use BK15 to cut limes
BK15 usage complete![]()
