Are you a BK&T lurker?..

Since viewing this site the past few months I have bought A bk2, Bk7, bk9, bk16 and a bk 11. Addictive :) I plan on making some custom wooden handles out of local cherry and walnut. When done I will post some pics

Been lurking on this sub-forum for a few months now. Found it when I was looking for a new knife. Had narrowed my choices down to an ESEE 6 or BK7...after spending a couple of days here reading the threads and seeing what passion and loyalty these knives inspire in people, I decided on the 7.
And the rest, as they say, is history...
I've got the Becker Bug now, and there's no turning back.
My collection so far:

I am seeing a 16 in my near future :-)

I think a 5 is what you need...

Been lurking for awhile. Love this place! My wife actually told me the other night that I should limit my jerking off to knives to 20 minutes a night the other day. I had to laugh. Before I knew of the forum I bought a 9 at a local sporting goods store and fell in love. After buying the 9 I found out what I had and found the forums. Since then I have added a 2,5,7,11,15,16 and 17. I cant decide what is next. It doesnt really matter they are all awesome!

Hi guys, definitely a lurker, A beckerhead got me into knives and ive been reading here for a couple months, I have the 16 and love it, hope to be getting the 9 soon and mod it with all the useful info on here, gonna start working on beckerhead status, post a lot more, but only if I have the time to do that and still play with knives after school.:D... and shoot my bow,and go fishing, and throw my hawk...you get the picture.

I have done a bit of lurking as I did not get my first BK till this past year. I have often lusted after these knives but never bought one. I have a BK-7 and it seems like a nice knife. I have only used it on two backcounrty trips, but I suspect it will get used more this summer.

Okay, out from the shadows I come. Been lurking for a while. Only been motivated for a few months but now have a necker, 2 and 7 and I've got my heart set on having a 9 in my hands soon. I really want to strip one of them and just haven't decide which one yet. Thanks for luring me out. This is an incredible forum overall and I love the passion of the Beckerheads.

My first Becker

A fine knife........

Stripped and sharpened to a much more acute angle on the waterstones
Used it a little bit

Hello, I am Julian. I post, but not much here as I only have a (well used and loved) bk13 remora. I love seeing all the folks in the becker community really use their knives. I'll be getting a 7 or 9 to replace my kabar. Love them with micarta handles.. Anyway, thanks for letting me lurk, I might be seeking advice on which becker to aquire once I replenish the funds I spent on the last knife..

Hey Beckerheads, my name is Swampdog and I've been lurking here for a number of years. I purchased my first BK&T (Brute) many years ago when they were made in Effingham, Illinois, U.S.A. I carried it a lot working in the woods during my 33 yr. career in forestry. I wore out the original leather sheath that came with it and was able to order a kydex sheath from Camillus when they made the Brute.
I have been lurking here so much that I got a Ka-Bar BK-2 to play around with, put the micarta handles on it, stripped the blade, and got a nice sheath made by Sagewood Gear for it.
I really enjoy reading all of the shared information on how members of this sub-forum make customized improvements to an already great product. It's really neat to hear from Mr. Ethan Becker chime in on his creations.
Thank you all for sharing your knowledge!

Pic's Please! Especially of that Blackjack brute....

Guys, I'm a 62 yr. old computer moron and have NO clue how to post a picture on my computer let alone this website.
Sorry... I know, "if there is no picture then it didn't happen."

I'm going to give this thread a bump.
Anybody got the stones to jump in and say hello?...

I've been posting, but I'm still real new. Hello everyone!

I have a 4, 14, and 15. Currently the 4 is my favorite because it's the only one I've really gotten to use.

I can help fix that:

Step 1 - drink more
Step 2 - drink rum or tequila
Step 3 - desire limes for your rum or tequila
Step 4 - need cutting instrument for your limes
Step 5 - use BK15 to cut limes

BK15 usage complete :D

Lucky for me, I'm a tequila kinda guy. Woo! Gotta secure some limes though...
