Are you getting rid of your 21 to get the 25?

I look at it this way. Any new CRK is a time to celebrate! It is different enough from the Zaan and the 21 to buy one and use the snot out of it.

Yeah, I've been hesitant to post it, but I bet most of the posters on this thread will have a 25 sooner or later...

Staying with my 21 for sure. The pivot bushing is one of the things that makes the Seb 21 what it is. I'll wait until the 25 has been out a while before making any assumptions on it. The 21 isn't going anywhere though.

Lone_Wolfe, I'm a newbie and am planning my first Youtube video as soon as my XM-18 arrives in the mail. My working title is Damascus Frenzy. The stonewash XM will be simply for comparison. At that same time I'll take stills of a few of my modest knives, mainly damascus, and post. I only have 5 decent knives so it won't be a big deal.

Damascus Seb and XM don't belong in the same sentance as 'modest'. Those are awesome knives.

And welcome to BF!

I think a lot of folders including the 21 are going on the exchange because people are cashing out. The holidays are here and other things are taking priority. The 25 is new and cool but only time will tell if it's going to be as great as the 21 or the regular. Your also starting to see some pretty rare folders taking time to sell these days, that may have something to do with the economy more than people not wanting them.

Priorities. Holiday expenditures are probably causing a few knives to fly out of the pocket onto the exchange. I think this will equalize after the holidays pass.

Not me. I'm sticking with my 21. Many of the "improvements" on the 25 have turned me off. I don't need that thick of a blade on a folder, 1/8" on the 21 is perfect. I don't need an oversized pivot, I couldn't break the 21's pivot if I tried. With the oversized pivot comes a different screw size. Not only do I find it unattractive, but you now need two tools to break it down. No pivot bushing seems like a step backward, but the jury is still out on that one. I very much dislike finger cutouts. I want a full range of movement on the handle. And the new design in general is less sleek than the 21. The 21 is very similar to the original P sebenza, and that's the way I like it.

That pretty well sums up my opinion on the 25. I will wait until I get one in my hand before passing a final judgement.

The only one I may let go is my large insingo. That will leave an original pivot s30v Zaan, large and small Classic, and a small insingo. All users too. Oh and I still will have a mnandi. The 25 is going to ba a great addition.
