Are you gifting a knife for Christmas?

Been thinking about getting my buddy a Buck.
He probably has all he needs but like me, could always accept another knife.

I am gifting two knives this year which will be sent to both my brothers. They'll both be getting a Schrade SCHF51. I have enjoyed mine for the past few months and was able to find theirs at $31.99 online, which is less than I paid for the one I own. Just a great heavy duty high carbon steel knife that comes with a sheath, ferro rod and sharpener. Couldn't beat the price for what you're getting.

A bit before Christmas I'm taking my 10-year-old stepdaughter to the excellent Rivers Edge Cutlery to help her pick out a small folder of her own.

I am happy to say that I am indeed doing so. I am giving my wife a purple Spyderco Ladybug (purchased on the Exchange for an excellent price), and my best bud an EDC fixed blade from Kevin (FlatBlackCapo) which will be one of two (one's for me!). I have a suspicion that it's going to be a good Christmas for me as well on the knife front. :D

After watching my mom carry a small paring knife to work with a cardboard "sheath " every day for a while, I got her a stainless opinel 7 or 8 can't remember to save her some digits.

My friends and family are pretty much sick of getting knives for Christmas lololol :D

Getting my wife a pink dealer exclusive Spyderco Ladybug hoping she'll appreciate it though I think she will. Hell, if she doesn't like it, I'll carry it.

Biggest surprise of all was that my sister-in-law let us know that my 6 year old nephew was asking for a pocket knife for Christmas because a kid down the street has one (I guess there ARE still some cool parents out there). Couldn't believe it since his dad doesn't carry a knife nor is really an outdoorsy person and his mom is a teacher who's sort of a protectionist. Thought it was cool though since I got my first Case knives on my 6th birthday. What did I choose? After my initial idea of a Cold Steel Espada was shot down, I went with a Victorinox Classic in cobalt blue.

I got my sonny boy a DPX Hest3F Milspec with Sliepner steel for Christmas this year.
I wanted him to have a nice Ti frame lock without breaking the bank.
The bank breakers are reserved for me.:D

I bought for gifts, ontario rat 1, esee avispa, leatherman squirt, victorinox alox farmer copper and 3 key smarts. Not sure who's getting what yet

Ontario Rat 1's - no other inexpensive knife has impressed me as much as these and they are a great value. Planning on picking up a few for my hiking buddies.

I sent a friend in Modesto a small wc sebenza, we were in the military together (ets 96). He was always a knife guy and was carrying a spyderco when I had spoken to him recently.

He's got 4 children and a wife so I knew he wasn't splurging on himself when it came to gear.
I was a bit apprehensive about it but his reaction was worth it all...

His dad was a ww2 marine and one of the finest men I've ever met. He told me he would be my guardian angel before he passed.

In a family grab bag and I'm giving my bro in law either a large grip or a PM2.

Can't tell you guys yet. I am in a gift exchange on here and it would lessen a surprise!

 :D
