It shipped on the 16th and the 17th was the last scan. I know it's a busy season and all but really? I should have had it two days ago. Maybe it will still show up. So frustrating. I was really looking forward to using my gec 72 to open the family's presents.

I've had that happen... yet still shows up. Usually just delayed, not lost. Don't give up the hope just yet... Happy Holidays to you, sir :)

Thanks I've seen some goofy things too. And it worked out. Hadn't had to file a claim yet, hopefully this isn't the first.

much more fun opening with your hands.

This has happened to me as well! I usually watch the tracking # like a hawk and there's been times where there was a few day gap between scans. It's just the holidays that is delaying it.

Don't fret, happened to me also, it showed up a week past expected del. date, it will shake out, I went to my local PO and gave them tracking/shipping info etc. they didn't seem very concerned, they just told me to wait three more days then come back, it eventually showed up.

Did you get insurance?

I always pay extra for insurance. Almost all sellers online (whether knife dealers or not) offer insurance as an extra option when shipping. I just think it should be standard. I understand that it is not normally including because shipping costs take a big chunk out of the seller's returns.

Keep in mind that it is the week of Christmas, and there are a lot of delays in shipping right now.

It will show, just delayed, I'm guessing. I just had a package arrive eight days after being ordered. Eight days is not a big deal in and of itself, but I always get shipments from this company three days after being ordered. It's the holiday season. Hope yours are merry and your knife shows up to slay holiday packaging!

Give it another week or two. Over the summer I had a knife "stuck" at the Houston distribution center for almost 2 weeks. Just appeared in my box one day before the tracking even updated to show that it had moved along.

I sent something to a forum member in Georgia and the post office attendant flip flopped the zip code numbers. Too am extra week but it finally arrived

What I don't like is when a shipper uses UPS and the USPS. After UPS gets done handling it the package seems to fall off the face of the earth for a few days.

I have one that I shipped to a forum member that hasn't updated since the 16th when it left the local sort facility. I have it insured but I am hoping that it just shows up. It's a very old and probably irreplaceable, especially in that condition. All You can do is wait it out:grumpy:

I'm waiting on the delivery of a Kel-tec PF9 magazine that was "out for delivery" one week ago, and still hasn't arrived. But at least that's the kind of thing that is replaceable. Like Mr. Cutty says, some knives are not replaceable.

Have you ever had any luck collecting USPS insurance in the case of a lost item?

I think you're referring to what they ironically call "Smartpost." I've had things go missing in the hand-off from one to the other, and then neither side will take any responsibility.

I'm waiting on a new fixed blade and a custom longbow sent via USPS Priority, and neither item has had the tracking info updated for several days. The latter was already supposed to have arrived. Who knows where it is...

I was just reading a news piece, the US postal service is swamped for the season. It will show up. The post office lost 6 custom tomahawks for three months a couple of years ago, they finally came. Hope your knife arrives for Christmas. Have a great one.

Best regards

Robin

I think Feedback is a better place for this thread. Moving it now.

I have and they will pay you. All you have to do is fill out the form they send you and provide something showing what it is and what it's worth. A receipt is best and you can print it off where you bought the item and they sent you an email, if you got it online. It takes about 6 weeks to get a check. (providing that isn't lost too!)

Don't worry yet - USPS is swamped and sloppy.
I've sold few items on flea bay within the past week and some of the items
did not show any progress on tracking after receipt acknowledged by USPS until it was delivered.
One item did not show absolutely nothing until it was delivered.
