Arkansas Custom Knife Show 2008

Beautiful knives every one! Looking forward to seeing you all there. I can't figure out how to insert images yet, so you can go to my website to see pictures of the knives I'll be bringing. Kyle Royer http://royerknifeworks.com

This one just keeps getting better and better.

Jerry relieved the pins and shaded the background.
It's really finished this time. ;) :D

I can't imagine it being any better than it is NOW! :D It is my favorite Fisk that has been posted to date. Absolutely stunning.

Always a great show.

Jason Knight, did, in fact, win the best fighter of the show. However, I think I bought the best knife on his table. The fighter that won is an ironwood handled version. Mine, is a maple handled version, that actually balances much better and is less blade heavy.

Pics will follow, as soon as I get home Monday night(sorry, I forgot my camera).

I went down to LR with 'Canine Joe' yesterday, good road trip and bought ivory too :D The show was more crowded than the last time I had a table there (04 I think) and this is good. Bunch of nice forged blades at this show and good visiting with guys I hadn't seen in a while.

Danbo, that's a super fighter you got there

Thanks for letting me ride along, Joe.

Jason Knight had some amazing work displayed. I kept going by his table to feast on the eye candy!

I attended the knife show for the first time and was impressed by all of the custom work. I ended up ordering a knife from JP Jones from Mississippi. There were about 5 tables or so that I had work that really caught my eye and I wish that I had taken more of the business cards that were on the table of the knifemakers that I was interested in. Hopefully next year I can attend again and maybe I will pick up another knife then also. This will be my first custom knife and I can't wait to get it and to put it to good use.

Still stuck in a hotel in Memphis, but will be home later today. I'll post a review with pics of my goodies later. IMHO, the Little Rock Custom Knife Show keeps getting better and better. There were more people running around Saturday, than I've ever seen at this show, and I've attended for probably 10 years or more.:)

I have to say, this was my first visit to the AKA show and I had a wonderful time. I got to see old friends, make new ones and sat down one-on-one with some of (if not thee) most talented knife makers in the world. I hope I didn't bother anyone with too many questions and I hope you don't mind me coming back next year.

There are too many names to list so... thanks again to everyone!

Judd, I had a great time,I met you & Don Hanson alot of others.
your knives were great!
I hope to see you nexted year, Bring that chick with the red dress, you know
Jerrys sister, Bless her heart she looks just like Mr. Fisk, beard and all.

Folks,
It was a great show, talked knives with all and sundry until our eyes rolled up.
For those who couldn't make it, Arkansas is more of a sit around the lobby and talk one on five or six than the "million man pit" at Blade. Not better, just different.
Good friends and lovely knives, but you absolutely do not, I repeat, not want to know just exactly what Shawn meant by that "chick in the red dress".
Chuck will have photos out in a couple weeks, maybe folks can post some of the knives we haven't seen yet, then.
Wish you were there,
John
