Lin - I love that bowie! Everything about it!

Someone bookmark this one for the best bowie 2012 thread

Always on your game Roger

Man this is shaping up to be quite a show, huh? Wish I could be there with you all

oh, and to Larry - welcome to Bladeforums! Wow, what a debut! That blade is on FIRE!!!

Larry - very cool blade. Like the others, I'm curious as to how it was made.

Thanks guys for the great comments about my camp knife. Its just layered steel...
Hope to see you all at the show.

His Gamemaster model with Antique Walrus ivory, Damascus and stainless mountings with a touch of engraving. Notice how he continued the scroll pattern into the ivory, first time he has done this:

This will be photographed properly by Chuck Ward at the show, but for now here is a sneak peak of a small walrus ivory hunter that I will have, scrim by my friend the very talented Linda Karst Stone.

It looks pretty neat to me. :)

My guess is a W's damascus core san mai, which was then pressed with a West Texas Wind set of dies and ground clean... So all you see is the Texas wind pattern in the core, fading out into the plain carbon or ss sides.... I'd bet a wooden nickel on that anyway. ;) :D

Lin- That is some fantastic work!!! Wish I could be there to see it in person!!!!

Really sounds like a fun show! :)

Or 2/3-3/4 of the billet was just stacked carbon layers. No shinny stuff there ;)

Here's a few I plan to have with me.

I'll most likely have several with hand rubbed blades to. I'm still trying to figure out how I'll get my knives there. I'd take them with me as luggage but I change planes one time.
