Finally finished it. Sorry it took so long. All in all I think it came out ok. Not 100% what I envisioned when I first started but with each knife I seem to get better at actually making what I first envision. That's a good sign I guess.

Thanks to Fred Rowe for suggesting a less “machined” pommel. I think it looks better than the previous attempt and keeps the focus on the guard a little more.

Specs:
Blade length: 6 1/8” OAL: 11 5/8”
Grind: Hollow
Steel: 5160
Handle: Flamed Box Elder Burl (double dyed/stabilized by WSSI)
Guards & pommel: Mild steel (1018) blued, copper and stainless steel

Thanks again for all your help and support on this project.

Wow, that's an unusual piece. There are a lot of different design elements going on there, I'm still absorbing it. I like the carved copper detail at the guard.

I commend you on tackling difficult pieces and finishing them like a pro.

I guess if you like artsy-fartsy knives it's OK:p:D

Really nice work,Patrice.

It may not be exactly what you first envisioned,... it's even better now because it's real.

Very nice. :)

I like the back ground too by the way, looks like an angel knife flying through the heavens.

I love it. PLEASE tell me you posted it in the Custom and Handmad forum? It's time you shared your talents with the world. Time to start selling these beauties!

That being said. I really like the finished product. All the elements combine nicely. It's also very unique! Some day people will say " that's a Lemee! "

I did post it Brian but selling is a whole other can of worms. :(

Thanks for the good words guys. When a knife is done, sharing it with you guys is one of the thing I look most forward to. Maybe I am vain.:o;)
And yes Stan, it is an artsy-fartsy knife indeed. :D

That is too cool! I really like the way the copper sets off the wood, great detail on the guard.

Top notch photos!

Great job Patrice! :D

Very nice, Patrice! What stands out to me is the detail and the fit and finish. Just a pro job all around. You keep this up, keep pushing yourself, and you will make a solid name for yourself out there.

As Tai said; better than your original thought. It would have been a humdrum exercise if you had followed a model and tried to fit your idea to a two dimensional drawing.
Its when you let your mind go that you produce something this exciting.

Thanks for sharing Patrice but speed it up a little next time.:)

That is amazing.

So you gonna use it as a steak knife :)

Love the workmanship. Like most, the style isn't my "cup of tea" but "outside the box" is fun to work on and you did a great job of it. I'm a huge fan of unique and this is certainly up there.

Thanks for posting. Good job!
