Artisan Cutlery?

I'm pretty sure they use very similar factories to ganzo. And that's a bad thing. Cause the cloner brand is not good. But iirc they do the same heat treatment for the D2 and same boxes and same g10 and g10/cf as ganzo.

Is there a problem with using a particular factory for producing more than one brand of knife? American knife companies have been doing it for years. Camillus made millions of pocket knives for decades. More often than not those knives were not carrying the Camillus name but many of them were similar in appearance despite the name stamped on the tang. Camillus produced knives for just about every maker in existence back in the day.

Also cleavers are just art knives. They are made to sell because people say hey that's cool. Otherwise no one would ever get one for a functional task.

Really? A.G. Russell has been selling them for years and they are quite popular. They are called the "folding cooks knife" .

Even with all the ignorant swastika talk, this is the most hilarious statement in this thread. A cleaver is one of the oldest and most used knife shapes in history, dating back to over 1M years ago.
Yea but not in a folder.

I just got this Artisan Jungle. It does seem very well made with excellent fit & finish. D2, G10, and ceramic bearings for just under $50. Compares very favorably against my Chinese Spydercos at the same price point.

I'm happy with it, and it's a neat addition to the collection.

Sorry to further derail, but I don’t understand how a tiny added bit of steel can render a blade useless.

The WE Knives manufactured Ferrum Forge Buc and Dao are exactly the same knife with the exception of a bit more steel on the Buc. The handles are the same. Cutting edge is the same. Grind is essentially the same except the Buc has a little more steel at the spine near the tip. It’s simply a design decision that appeals to some buyers more than others just like almost every knife that knife-nuts buy. The Buc makes a great little EDC knife. Not your cup of tea then just buy what you like. If we only purchased knives based on utility, we would all own a single Rat-1 or Opinel.

As for Artisan Cutlery, none of their designs have really caught my eye. The logo debate is silly to me. It’s a design that looks nothing like a swastika. It appears to me that people are just looking to be offended, so we’ll all join in on a witch hunt. Using the same factory as Ganzo hasn’t been proven, so once again looks like a social media witch hunt.

Ultimately, there are other knives that appeal to me by USA factories and WE (Chinese manufacturer) to even consider Artisan.

I don't know about semantics but a squared off blade can have many uses, I'd say this would be used more like a razor than a cleaver.

Used a "Bay" coupon to grab one of their folders, kinda two birds with one stone, can check out A.C. themselves and got a Tomahawk model to check out the cleaver style blade, since I've never had one.
