Do the boxes weigh over 4 ounces? I won't buy a knife that comes in a box that weighs over 4 ounces...

Theres plenty of room on the lineup for knives of both categories. What they choose to put on their lineup is up to them. I see no problem with anyone having their own preferences. To each their own. Like a knife: buy it. Use it, store it in a glass box inside a fireproof vault, I don't care. Don't like it: don't buy it. Not every knife is for everyone.
The OP doesn't like the design/materials of some of KAI's newer offerings? Its fine. I don't see ZT dropping its hard-use, to hell and back, knife lineup. There will be more designs. KAI has always been good with customer feedback. Enough people feel the same and they will make something happen.
