I asked the same question, and kinda got a vague answer that the tang is drilled through?

I don't know either but would REALLY like to see it.

Right, that is what Jerry posted, that the LB treatment on this blade was holes drilled in the tang.

As resinguy said, this is all we have to go on (from an older thread) ...

Anniversary SHBM notes. . . .

We did a slight modification to the Light Brigade treatment on this model. Instead of the web design like the Team Gemini we used simple through holes to achieve some really awesome balance. All corners are rounded for comfort and impact resistance.

. . .

I thought the reason there were no pics may have been because either the "through holes" are like those used before on the SLUT and SARGE models or possibly because they're just simple round holes drilled through the tang. I guess we won't know for sure until someone takes pictures of a tang with slabs removed.

Thanks again to all for the congrats.

Very nice!

But I am a bit confused. Is this the Anniversary SHBM currently for sale on the Busse website or is this a different edition?
Also, is the swedge optional? The knife pictured on the Busse site looks like it is un-swedged.

Nice to see you here, protodoc. The swedged edition was a special run of 300 knives (plus a like run of 300 with no choil) offered in a one-time ganzaa back in July. The limited edition (LE) satin knives for sale now on the website are individually numbered but not limited to a specific quantity of knives. My understanding is the construction is the same for both other than the swedge.

I believe the idea was to commemorate the 300 swedged knives offered at the time of the original Battle Mistress release.

Awesome score. How would you score it vs a CGFBM? Has anyone used one of these yet or a regular CG/LE?

Haven't owned a CGFBM in several years, but maybe someone here will compare them for you.

My ashbmcg with choil and black paper micarta scales. Also weighs in at 27 ounces. Its my first busse and I couldn't be happier..I will be hopefully be making a video review soon.
