ASHBM--now that the speculation is over…

I have pics I can't upload I'm a noob..and I'm not registered to any photo upliad sites..if you give me your email ill send you a pic though

I gotta say I couldn’t be happier with the new ASHBMSE. It’s big, it’s thick, it’s long, it’s strong, it feels GREAT in hand :D

Was just thinking these threads were back-patting circle jerks, so yeah, this seems about right.

Your attitude and vulgar comment is not welcome in a family friendly forum.

Please do not do it again. Thank you

Was just thinking these threads were back-patting ***** *****, so yeah, this seems about right.

The depth of knowledge shown by your critique closely matches the depth to which you excerpted--and omitted--my full description. (An especially nice touch to insert a smiley face where there was none.)

You know, after spending many of the best days of my life in the field, enjoying pursuits that were enhanced immeasurably by fine equipment performing at the highest level—guns and knives being at the forefront--and after investing many tens of thousands of dollars, thousands of hours reading and many hundreds of days in the field to find and try the best equipment, to sort out what works best for me, yeah—I become effusive when I find something as good as this knife.

What I don’t get is why someone, who either doesn’t understand that passion or who doesn’t know enough about blade performance to understand what Busse’s represent, would spend time on this kind of a forum showing off his ignorance to those who do get it and who do share that passion.

Your loss is that this community would gladly embrace you and illuminate for you the delights that engender that passion, and why Busse products ignite it, but I've gone back and read your posts on bladeforums.com--all 31 of them--and your approach is so patently obnoxious that I doubt at this point anyone here would care to have anything more to say to you. You just don't leave folks with much incentive to try and understand or engage with you.

I read his other posts also. I'm usually a man of many words, but it's situations like this where my message remains clear, concise, and sobering --- Get lost

Gents (and ladies), I'm simply having a little fun. I think we all take this too seriously at times. I'm happy you like your new knife! For the most part, I think the busse stuff is pretty cool. If someone had directed what I said back at me, I would have had a good laugh! Loosen up, we're all her because we like to fondle knives!

"happy you like your new knife" ...

Really? after the circle j**k comment?

And a noob on this forum to boot?

Ignorant, arrogant, obnoxious AND patronizing? But don't take offense--just having a little fun with you bra.

Interesting way to make new friends...but don't take that too seriously, either. Obviously, you have no such intentions.

I guess ruffled feathers can't be unruffled, huh? If anyone was offended by my joke, I apologize. My aim was only to take the piss out of our often "extremely jubilant" expressions of love for our expensive sharpened pieces of metal. The mod has scolded me, so I hope this mollifies those who are worked up over this.

Wow--up to 33 posts and you've learned so much. Read more and bluster less, and you might even find you're welcome

...at some point.

I pray for the day when I have your approval. Maybe after I have thousands of posts on an Internet forum... Someday...

You know what man it's fine -- just focus your next couple of posts in the direction of providing valuable insight and/or sharing in the joy -- all will be forgotten ASAP

Please don't bother making more posts on my account, especially to threads I've started.

In fact, you have my unqualified approval ... to stop anytime now.

THats enough jb83.

If you were serious about anything in pm or apology here then you will stop.

Im trying to be nice. I dont want to give you any more but I will.

Will, is a highly respected member here cause of his wisdom and integrity. not cause of his post count. If you chill out and stick around long enough you will learn this too. In doing so you will also come to know that having his praise is worth the effort.

and back to the ASHBM:thumbup:

Thanks, KH. I don't think my approval has any special value to anyone here, but jb83 did manage to get my hackles up. I guess that's what he was after from the beginning--good job.

One of the reasons why think this blade is such a winner is that it's so versatile, it chops big and yet it still highly maneuverable. Why I definately like this blade more than the NMFBM is because it's not a convex Blade. Which allows it to lose some weight and add better performance for biting/choping/slicing. The ASHBM doesn't wear on me nearly as much. IMHO just way more functional. To be clear I do and always will love the NMFBM.

It was not my intention to hurt any feelings. The mod obviously looks up to you, and I'm sure for good reason. For the mod: I'm not a dog. I don't seek anyone's praise.
