legal disclaimer-
(for those ignorant folk who have no humor-this is not a real attitude, its me havin some fun again)

His sig should have given you a clue about him. Any guy who would partner with TJ on a knife giveaway shouldn't be taken too seriously..:D :D

The last post on the initial thread about this indicated that Buck had sent a new replacement knife on 3/23 after deciding to give up on finding the first knife.

In my experience from e-Bay, packages from the U.S. can sit in customs waiting to be checked for several weeks. That, in fact, is why I quit accepting bids from Canada.....the waiting was just too aggravating for everybody......things often took over a month to arrive and buyers got understandably nervous.

Yeah I went back and read the original thread. Weird.

I highly doubt that Buck has done any of this on purpose.

Are you talking of a Buck 880 like the G10 scales and the thick liners and stuff?

This may sound stupid but I would be more than happy to be a middle person. As in Buck sends me the 880 and then I send it to you.

I don't even know if that would need to be done but I would be happy to help.

Bungwrench......that might not be enough.

This has gone on so long that we MUST make sure that knife gets through!

I think we've come to the point where Buck should send an 880 to each of us and we ALL send them on to RazBlade just to MAKE DARN SURE he gets one.

Buck, are you listening?

...Great idea...I'm trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent...( coff, coff, gasp, wheeze )...Buck could send me a bunch of 'em and I'd make sure he got one...errrrrrrr...I mean all of 'em...yeah, yeah that's it...all of 'em...heh heh heh...:D :D :D

I decided to call buck today to get this figured out,all i got was voice recordings and i left a message, that was this morning, nevr hear back so far......Also i noticed CJ Buck is also a mod here, and not once has he made a comment on my situation.I'm not sure they care too much about a little old Canadian customer.

Hey Razorblades :)

I am sure thats not true about what you think about Buck caring about you as a customer. CJ is on here *very* rarely and does not post a great deal. Last post I saw was in the Buck Slogan contest which was in December.

You have shown great patience in all this.. I *know* that Buck/Joe will sort you out.

But I am sure that they do care.. and this matter will get resolved. And in the mean time... good luck.

i wonder if the thread name didnt get any attention because it doesnt sound like a pissed customer-more like a bad day type of thing-just a thought

That was around the same time he asked for website input to implement changes. None of that ever happened though.:(

...I'm with Mav on this R'Blades...You have shown an enormous amount of patience through this. I just don't doubt that Buck, through Joe, will fix this mess up for you...

I sure hope so,the wife is starting to tease me now,and we all know that can be a bit irritating.

Believe it or not, I am just as frustrated as you are! You want honest answers? I have not been lying yet and don't intend to start. This situation is agrevating to say the least. I'm staring at a document right now that tells me that we sent the second one to you on 3/22/2007. Three weeks ago, it should have been there by now.
At this point, I'm tempted to drive a third knife up there myself. I certainly don't have a lot of confidence in the post office right now.
I think one other thing that makes this even worse is that we can't seem to reliably send emails to each other. I just sent you an email last week to see if the knife arrived and never heard back from you. I suspect that the email, like the knife, never made it to you.
You have every right to be upset, I would be too. I will check with our shipping department on monday and see if we can check with customs.

I am certainly not calling anyone a liar here, least of all you Joe,I am positive you did everything humanly possible to make sure things were taken care of,but as they say,ch!t happens.

I do not know why i never recieved the knife,I have had nothing but excellent c/s from buck in the past, and never have had a single customs issue with any knife i have ever ordered or purchased from the U.S.A.,All buck knives included. The only knives not allowed here are autos, and they are the only ones i don't buy.

I never recieved any e-mails Joe,i suspect there is a glitch somehere.sorry if i sounded like i was calling you a aliar.

I know I am kind of butting in here so I apologize if it offends. I have had trouble with the US Post Office in the past. I have never had trouble with UPS or FedEx. As time goes on the less I trust in the Post Office. Just a thought.

I've used the Post Office a lot in the past few years. It works as good as most things. I've had very few problems. It works fine 99% of the time.

Shipping to Canada is what causes the problem. Everything I've ever shipped to Canada took much longer and caused problems.

I strongly suspect the knife in question (the replacement) is just delayed by Customs.

I'm waiting on a knife to come from the US to Australia via airmail which generally takes about 8 days, the seller has told me that lately it is taking about 6 weeks for international parcels and she can't get an answer from the post office as to why it is taking so long.
Perhaps your knife has also been caught up in whatevers going on?
