Blades of Glory...
I was going to ask the same thing as Jim as I will miss you too.
But WTF? I am glad I didn't after reading your reply to Jim. If you guys have "history" I don't know a thing about and I don't give a shit.
I just know that I have enjoyed your posts and hope to see ya somewhere on the cyber highway sometime. Was gonna send you a e-mail or a PM regarding this but you don't have that enabled. So now ya know...I will miss ya.

As for all the gents with "nothing but good experiences" with Buck and patting themselves on the back. As CCR sang, "it ain't me".

Latter Day Saints Razor...

,maybe should ship with a tracking number, which is what i do.

I got a call back from Buck today, talked with a girl named Tracy, she said nothing was ever shipped to me,and my address wasn't even in the system.

She said their computer system is to blame ,and no knives have been shipped outside of the U.S.

I don't doubt Joe when he says the knife shipped, but they knew nothing about it at buck .

Razor,
How do you ship out of country with a tracking #? I ship global occassionally (thanks Mav and Buckman and ebay :D)
The USPS will not provide tracking info here once it leaves the border and canadian customs does not update any tracking info for us. I currently have a knife bound for the UK and I have no idea where it is I just hope it gets there in due time... I do not think they use USPS scanners outside of the US?

Also I do not doubt Joe either, and he is the gentleman that runs the repair and warranty end of it, Who is Tracy? A newb?? Maybe first day on the job? Maybe typed your name into the CPU wrong and your info didnt come out right? Maybe warranty Dept. is different and you were talking to the girl putting the warranty papers into each Buck knife box LOL :D
Maybe your tone got her flustered? Maybe it really never did ship either.
That really isnt an excuse but if a company is having growing pains I would let Joe chime in somewhere here I hope.
I hope this still gets straightened out soon.

This is why I don't ship to Canada any more.

You 're stuck with no tracking information and buyers first get a little nervous and then a a little suspicious that they're getting scammed and finally get paranoid and more and more hostile.

Kind of like this current situation.

I can see that you are upset and I know you have had some bad luck with this little adventure and that sucks but don’t give up on us. We need a Blue Nose rep and at this point in time you are it. I have enjoyed many of your posts and honestly I want to know how this whole thing shakes out. I remember that Joe said that he had sent you a knife to replace the one that dropped off the face of the world. If Buck is having computer problems he may not realize that the knife never went out to you. That would make more sense then that both knifes got stolen. If Tracey says you aren’t in their system that may be the case. One thing I know for sure is that computers screw up all the time and until the condition that reveals the screw up occurs it is easy to not know that it is screwing up at all. Actually, I would think that what she told you was if fact a positive thing. After all Joe had already said that he sent you a replacement so this should bring to light the fact that that may not have happened yet even though he intended it to, well, maybe now it will.

Be cool. I hope we hear from you again.
Will (a relocated Blue Noser myself. I still have family all over the Maritimes)

He is not doubting Joe. He is doubting Buck. It has been two years since their move to Idaho...two years. How many more years is it going to take? After all, they're not re-inventing the wheel.

If someone working in retail, dealing with the general public on a daily basis becomes confused easily, that person should not be in that enviornment. After all, that's the nature of the beast. That's what dealing with the general public in a retail/customer service position is all about.

It's not about growing pains. Buck is now in Post Falls, Idaho. This is it...what you see is what you got. Buck can merely pick and choose from the available pool of potential future, and current employees.
