I've used the Post Office a lot in the past few years. It works as good as most things. I've had very few problems. It works fine 99% of the time.

Shipping to Canada is what causes the problem. Everything I've ever shipped to Canada took much longer and caused problems.

I strongly suspect the knife in question (the replacement) is just delayed by Customs.

I buy, sell, trade archery items on a weekly basis and nothing takes more than a couple days longer to reach the destination ,wether its coming here,or being sent to U.S.

The knife in question took 8 days from 1sks to my door,so i call that normal.

well my friend i have had missing mail and did not blame the sender...
and reacently it took 3 weeks almost to send a payment to canada

Well, RazBlades......maybe things are better now, or your usual items get through customs easier. I won't ever ship to Canada again because of the problems I experienced and the fact that tracking packages is pretty much impossible.

It's like shipping into a black hole.....you ship and hope and pray and wait.

I think you'll get your (second) knife very soon unless some misguided customs official decided it was illegal and confiscated it.

customs across the border reflect the political stress if any of the cuntrys
if the us feels to much pot is getting across they tighten up a lot
if canada feels to much ciggrettes are getting across they do so also
same as in trucking cross the line... each delays the other because of some political chi t
things looked easer in border town on tv

Dave, that is funny how ya spelled "country" LOL.
I am thinking we should all chip in and get ya a decoder keyboard. That way we all won't need our Wind Talker Decoder Rings ;)

It took 5 weeks to get a mint 317 (no sheath or box) from a seller in canada
just as me and seller agreed to split the loss it shows up in my mail box.

This is my experience also, I would rather ship to Mav in the UK
than ship to Canada...

Buckman#10 how long did it take for your 2 882 Buck/striders to arrive after I emailed you about having sent them out USPS global priority?
3 weeks?
My wife ordered a text book from canada, it shipped the same time I shipped Mav his CPM154 110. She received her book 2 weeks after Mav emailed me his knife arrived...
Good luck Razor I hope this is straightened out soon!!!

that sounds about right it often takes a bit longer in fact or that has been my experience i have had a few at 10 - 15 days but very few

Razor poor luck whith whatever happened to the first return to you but just hang tough i would guess the second will arive in the next 7 - 10 days

You took the words right out of my mouth.
I can't think of anything more maddening than having something this important to do and having to rely on someone (post office) with such a bad track record.
We are looking into the shipping status today, with any luck, it will be good news.

Strange things can happen even within the lower 48.

I sent a fairly expensive railroad watch that was misdelivered to a huge home shopping center, signed for and then lost there among the thousands of packages they get every day.

Nothing was heard for a week, and many calls were made. It was insured and it required a signature but it finally appeared a week later sitting on the front steps of the intended recipient.

Apparently the mail carrier just left it on the steps even though it required a signature from the recipient.

Usually, though....and surprisingly often, things go just fine.

Shipping to Canada is an entirely different matter. It often took a month and more when I used to ship things there.

Well,All i can say is after 14 petes custom shoppe 110's from El Cajon,I have had zero problems getting them ,and in a decent amont of time. You guys talk about shipping into a black hole where you ship and hope and pray it gets there, maybe should ship with a tracking number, which is what i do.

I got a call back from Buck today, talked with a girl named Tracy, she said nothing was ever shipped to me,and my address wasn't even in the system.

She said their computer system is to blame ,and no knives have been shipped outside of the U.S.

I guess what i can't figure out is why thy changed systems, the old system worked pretty good i thought.

I don't doubt Joe when he says the knife shipped, but they knew nothing about it at buck .

As soon as i get my knife,i can guarantee one thing, since its such a hassle to ship here,i'll make sure not to buy another buck product. That way you won't have to worry bout shipping into the black hole,as you call it.

Just a quick question but will you still visit here in the Buck forum?

Razorblades, Why are you blaming Buck for the shipers problems.
I know it's aggravating ,but if you don't buy anymore Buck products
then you.......... will be at a loss.I. M. O.A.
Hawkeye:eek:

WH4F I know you do not like me because i speak my mind and it might be something you don't agree with ,so you take offence and call it bashing,so for you my friend i'll make sure this is my last post,so you can go back to your back patting with other buck customers who have nothing but good experiences .

I feel for you! You can't catch a break. Not to add insult to injury, but this only adds to the reasons why I collect pre-1999 only.

Sorry if the term "Black Hole" offended you, but that was exactly how I felt......but everything eventually got where it was supposed to go.

I bet it does in this case, too.....you just have to wait it out.

See Razor,
You go off the deep end again,
I just asked if you would still visit here, nothing snide or rude... (until you posted that is)

I did not say anything about bashing or not liking you?? and I didnt take offence.

We will truly miss you :D

Edited:
I would also like to point out that I have not posted anything negative to any of your comments in this thread or my pic of a box of Kleenex for you...
I figured the variety of viewpoints was a nice way to "spice up" the forum :D To each his own, your mileage may vary...
