Attention: Buck has Drop Point S30V and 420HC NS bolster 110s and 112s on their site

I ordered the S30V 112 version last night. Selected two day shipping. Had a Buck confirmation this morning. Should have it this upcoming week.

FEDEX dropped the knife off yesterday afternoon. Very nice. I like the tang stamp - Anvil with a Dot at the top of the upper leg of the K in Buck. Date of manufacture on the box sleeve is 06/01/2023 . Here it is.

With it's big brother - the 110

Fit and finish on the knife is great. There was some discussion in one of the posts above about the origin and what to call the Crelicam Ebony. In the description of the knife on the Packing Slip, Buck simply called it African Ebony

Gorgeous knife, Ed. Thanks for mentioning the African Ebony on the packing slip.

That little dot was discussed a few months ago and we determined that it's most likely a "Registered Trademark" symbol but it's too small to read clearly. You know, an "R" with a circle around it.

Railsplitter Railsplitter - Look at this Buck Collectors Club tang stamp chart. At the bottom of the chart they talk about the Anvil used as a tang stamp post 2002 and mention a Custom Mark. I wonder if that Dot on these drop point S30V 112 knives along with the anvil doesn't denote a "Special" or perhaps a "Exclusive" edition or something like that? At any rate, it's an interesting tang stamp.

One thing to note on the chart is that the point of the anvil for the 2002 tang stamp points to the left as you're looking at the chart but the point of the anvil on post 2002 tangs points to the right as you're looking at the tang.

That's the risk of ordering on-line, you hope for the best.
They won't just look at it and send out a replacement, it goes onto the repair shelf which isn't fair to the customer.

My Ranger is really stiff so lots of oil and moly and I'll be working it quite a bit to get it to loosen up.
I used a trick I learned here about keeping the knife mostly open overnight to decrease the spring tension and it worked.
