Attention: Buck has Drop Point S30V and 420HC NS bolster 110s and 112s on their site

Mine just arrived, and it's lovely -- with one possible exception. On such a beautifully polished knife, these two rough, unfinished areas to either side of the lockbar release really stand out.

I've never owned a 110 before. Is this normal, or do I need to contact Buck?

That is normal, we stopped sanding that area in the 90's except on Limited Edition or Custom knives. We are looking at in our Quality Control Department since it has become a point of emphasis recently.

The 112 in 420HC now says temporarily out of stock, I wonder if there will be a restock at some point. Down to 36 112s in S30V, I better get my order in. I was hoping to wait for June BOTM to possibly combine orders, but I'm doubtful they'll last that long.

Once the S30V versions sell out, will they also be restocked ?

I am still hoping on these 112 s30v drop point blades being available in the custom shop. Waiting on any new orders to see what happens. My next order was going to be ironwood but with the new blade, maybe I start over with elk, which is one of my favorites. I have a drop point from Buck in stag from 2006. I attached photos of the custom shop Buck 112s I have so you can see what I'm talking about.

Edit: I just realized that the stag one should be shown as S30V, not 420HC. It is the one from BCCI.
