Looks great!

Do you think these will
be part of the regular lineup,in the future?

I seem to remember Jeff or Mike saying that they see more use in knives with a belly on them, than a straight edge like a warncliffe so its unlikely there will be an ESEE version, unless I'm misremembering/quoting..:(

I like the look of the blade but personaly I prefer blades with a belly.
That knife is looking great though.

I love Wharnies. Cool photo essay! Here's hoping!

Nope. I'm a custom maker and not part of the ESEE company. I just wanted to have something special for my 3000 post giveaway and I remember seeing numerous threads from people asking RC to do a wharnie style Izula. I emailed Jeff and asked if he'd mind if I made one for the giveaway and he was cool with it. Everything I've ever heard from the ESEE (RAT Cutlery) guys is that they will never do a wharnie style blade. This is the only one that will be done. After I marked the steel, I tore the pattern up and threw it in the trash along with the measurements and drawings. This is it. Unless some other maker decides to rip off ESEE and make one, who ever gets this one will have the only one in existence that is a direct copy of the handle shape with a wharncliffe blade. That makes this one pretty special.

That's awesome!

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the benefit of a wharncliffe blade?

I wouldn't necessarily consider it a benefit, just a different cutting style. Other than looking cool to people who like wharnies, there's no real benefit.
