Attention Wharnzula giveaway participants. Follow the yellowbrick road.

LOL did you ask permission to do that modified version of an Izula ?

Of course I did. I knew I was going to do a custom knife for the giveaway and I emailed Jeff asking if he minded me doing a wharnzula. If he did mind, it would be no big deal and I would have just done something else. I told him it wouldn't hurt my feelings, but he told me to go for it so here we go!

nice little WIP & giveaway Dylan.
this will be very cool for whoever gets it.

I so wish I had a number. I would enter ... give as a gift to hubby ... I think it would make a GREAT leather knife...
:(
Great looking knife!!!
Stacy

wharnies ARE great leather knives and this one is gonna be amazing. thanks dude. you rock!

Thanks for the pics Dylan, what are the specs on the knife? That is one good looking blade.

One thing that is good about Wharnies is sharpening them is super easy as well as stropping.

I love wharncliff style blades.
I just got approved for Rat Pack membership, but Shotgunner hasn't posted the new member numbers yet.

Talk about timing being everything. Ah well, such is life!

The handle is exactly the same as the standard Izula. The only things I changed were instead of using .156" (5/32) thick steel, I used .125 (1/8"), the length of the blade is maybe 1/4" longer iirc. Steel used was the same, 1095.

That look sweet! I love wharnie blades and drew a couple for the "Design a Knife" thread but no dice. Below is how I envisioned it but I'm really liking the point on your design.

I look forward to the finished version. Awesome offer to give it away as well.

I'm thinking stainless hardware, black linen micarta and blue liners. What do you guys think?
