Attention Wharnzula giveaway participants. Follow the yellowbrick road.

I'm thinking stainless hardware, black linen micarta and blue liners. What do you guys think?

Easily removable of course? Also, that's a great combo of colors. Can't wait to see the finished product!

Not easily removable. These scales will be permanent. Only the true Izula will have removable scales. Mine is a finished knife. Trust me, you guys are going to dig these scales. They're still going to have a thin profile so it will still be easily concealable. They're going to be convexed for comfort and have no sharp sides. You're going to love them.

One of the reasons I decided to do permanent scales was to keep it "my" knife. There are a few features I decided to change such as the thickness of the stock, the hardware, permanent scales, no coating, and no notch at the beginning of the blade in order to still have part of "me" in the knife and not be totally like ESEE. I could have done a skeletonized tang, powder coating, etc., but it's just not me. This knife is going to be what I consider a "finished knife". Believe me, you guys are still going to love it.

Hopefully I'll have some time to work on it tomorrow. If so, I'll take some update pics.

Sorry guys. No pictures today. Too much work was going on to take pictures. I did get to work on it today though. It's been tempered, has the grinds all finished, and is ready for glue up. The scales and liners have been cut and glued together.

VERY nice. Will be a lucky individual who gets this. I don't have any fixed blade Wharnies, but I recently fell in love with the blade shape. So much more useful than you would think, and I find myself not missing the belly AT ALL.

Hey Dylan, I know you are not gonna make another one of these, but when you get up and running, will you make a Wharncliffe in this size category?

I sure am. I already have my designs done for that size of knife. I have two in mind, one with an Izula style blade and one with a wharnie blade. Both are going to have a really cool, slightly curved and rounded off coffin style handle.

Pictures from today. Sorry about the quality. I forgot to take my camera with me, so I had to use my phone.

NICE:thumbup: Got a price range? I will keep my eye open for it!

Progress Report:

Sorry for the crappy pictures. Had to use the phone again. It's hard to see the blue liners on the wharnzula in these pictures, but they're there. All that's left to do is final cleanup, sharpening and marking.
