August 1st is Yorkshire Day! ;)

On a more subtle note, Kes is a great film but I was astonished that some audiences needed subtitles? Right queer ......

Knife Aspect too

I'll have a go  I might send me whippets over t'moor :D everyday is a good day for a nice knife and a sup of beer. Getting to Yorkshire could be problematic...good job I'm aviophobic :D

That film is absolutely hilarious Will! :D

There are buses over here now where an automated voice announces the bus stops. Usually they have a BBC news-reader type voicing the announcements, but we got on a bus the other day with announcements in broad Yorkshire! :D

MMMMM Samuel Smith Taddy Porter or the Nut Brown Ale.....two of my favorites....I don't have one on hand and I'm at work...but it does sound good right about now!

I don't have a Lambsfoot made in Sheffield by Arthur Wright & Son....So I guess this is my entry! I promise not to sell it and I would definitely post pics of it on the Guardians thread!

Happy Yorkshire Day!

My American knife July isn't quite up, but on the first I will be carrying my I*X*L Wostenholm.
I've actually never heard of Yorkshire day before, but have been eyeing it for a few weeks now and had planned on carrying it as soon as July was up.

Forgot to say that " I AM IN " Jack . If I am lucky enough to win that A.Wright , I will give it away because I have some .

I was planning to go to North Yorkshire tomorrow, and visit the market town of Knaresborough. However, I picked up the book above earlier, and after seeing a photo of The Fat Cat in Sheffield, I started hankering for some of their great food and a Sheffield pint or two, so that's where I'm heading for Yorkshire Day :)

the blessed inhabitants of God’s Own County, (the ones with good memories and reliable calendars), celebrate all-things Yorkshire! Whether it be wearing a traditional flat-cap, eating a scone, wrestling a ferret, or sitting in the pub drinking a pint and watching the rain teem down outside, no expense is spared!

Please tell me the ferret wrestling events will be televised on ESPN. I could see myself tuning in for that.
