August 1st is Yorkshire Day! ;)

I must admit that the idea of Chip Butty sounds a little overkill of the same texture: soft white bread with soft potatoes. Seems like it would need some caramelized onions and pickles or some other crunchy item to balance it out.

I know they have a Bacon Butty over there. I'd combine them into a Bacon n Chip Butty.

Give it a try Joshua, sometimes less is more ;)

I'm excited for this lambsfoot and getting a good healthy patina on this thing! Maybe even becoming a member of the Guardians...

Big thanks again to Jack Black Jack Black for the opportunity to get one of these knives! The porch is a great place to be!!!

I hope so Taylor :) Entry requirement is simple, own a Lambsfoot, post a pic in the thread! :D  Hope you like the pattern

I once got chips (fries) on the German autobahn, and they came covered in bacon bits from the fryer! :D

That'd do it!

I won't knock it until I've tried it, notwithstanding my slight skepticism :)

I once asked for one in a neighbourhood bar in Barcelona, they thought it was kind of strange too. By the end of the week half the regulars were eating them! :D And the owner!

Thanks, Jack, for promoting Yorkshire and for inviting us along with your day’s adventure. Your writing and pics always makes me feel like I’m traveling right alongside you.

I’ve admired James Herriot since my family read three of his books when I was a teenager. We used to have the habit of reading out loud together after dinner. I loved reading about James’ love of farm animals and adventures in Yorkshire treating them. In honor of Yorkshire Day, I re-read all the chapters about Granville Bennett in All Things Bright and Beautiful. Granville’s hard-charging love of life and Herriot’s genuine compassion and humility seem to embody the best of the Yorkshire spirit.

Thanks Barrett, great pic :) I don't see too many Yorkshire dartboards around these days :)

I did wonder if they were still in use, or if they’d mostly been replaced by the standard configuration. I even tried Googling a few pubs around Sheffield to see if I could catch a glimpse of a dartboard in an interior photo, but the only thing I found was an electronic darts game.

Congrats Taylor. I've got one Jack sent me and it's a coooool knife.. And I'm not even a folder kinda guy.

Thanks for the kind words Robb, that's a nice post :)

Congrats, tmd_87!

I had a chip butty last week, but it was made American-style: with ground beef, tomato, lettuce, and cheese, chips on the side. :p

You certainly don't see them as much as in the past Barrett, they are something you'd remark upon. There are less pub dartboards generally though :(

With your lifestyle, I can understand why you prefer a fixed-blade Dave :) Glad you like the Lambsfoot though :)
