Did some horse trading with Beardlove and ended up with this chisel ground chopper by Bill Siegle.
I'm still not quite sure how I feel about chisel grinds in general.
This thing's a beast though! 1/4" thick, 9 1/2" blade, and 14 3/4" overall.

I'll. just. be. damned.

Could have been six boxes (no limit), but there was a nice older guy in line behind me, and I decided the karma points were worth it. I offered to split what was left and made his day.

I was at walmart the other day just in time to see a guy buy the only three bricks they had and they would only let me buy three boxes of 50. I sent them an email explaining that if they're going to bother with a limit it needs to be based on round count rather than the number of packages.

Nice score!! I found a brick of Federal Automatch a few months ago and snatched it up. Since then I haven't even seen a 50rd box for sale. My supply is lower that I like to keep it, so it sure would be nice to find a couple thousand rounds. You would think 22lr would start showing up in large amounts soon. Right now I can find all the 223, 9, 45, etc that I could want, but no 22.

Actually slept all night for once instead of sleeping a bit here and there. I'm headed out of town today with the Gf to take her to a doctor appointment. Today she finds our whether or not she gets out on a drug to essentially kill her immune system, so it can "reset". I don't like the idea of that any all, especially since she works in a nursing home where she can be exposed to all kinds of different diseases.

Wow, I don't know how I'd feel about that either. Sometimes you wonder about modern medicine.

Good luck Wildcat, to the GF too. I've never heard of that method of treatment, that is a new one.

Good news! The doctors appointment went much better than expected, so no harsh drugs at this time. Her blood tests showed up better than they were expected to, so she gets to try a drug that will be waaaay easier on her body. The only thing she really has to work on right now is to quit smoking. The doctor said that smoking might not let the drug work to its full potential.

Oh hey, Buck Angel! Oh, I mean James Yeager. Same thing... (If you're not familiar with Buck Angel, don't google him. Unless you're Bladite. He's dead inside and can handle it. Seriously though. don't. It's not worth it. And it's sure as Eff NSFW!!!)

Just googled him/her...:D Interesting Wikipedia page...

That's great. I sure hope the medicine helps her. :) So how did the perch fishing turn out the other day?

That is good news indeed. I'll bet you're relieved.

Its definitely a relief. We were pretty nervous about it for a while. The Dr seems pretty confident that what she prescribed now should help a lot. She has to go back again in 3 months again to make sure things are going as planned.

Mauser, I bought some wax worms before I headed out again on Thursday and ended up getting them to bite pretty good when i got back on the ice. It ended up being a big school of little guys, but it was fun. I ended up leaving that spot after a while to search for a school of bigger fish, but didn't find any after that. I think I'm going to try again tomorrow.

That looks sweet but I'm left handles so even flat grinded knife is backwards for me!

Well today wasn't a complete loss, I managed to get out for a few hours. I managed to salvage a cold rainy day by getting the girls (11 and 3yrs old) out for a quick lunch in the woods. The 3yr old was over it after our little picnic so we packed up and hiked out.

I was wondering if you were able to with the rain today. Glad to hear it!
